Description

...Both Tara (auntietk) and I have uploaded quite a few pictures from Sedona, Arizona (13 by my last count) since we visited this neat mecca for artists, photograhers and tourists in April. ...digging through my files I found three images that fit nicely together to show you how the city interfaces with one part of the landscape. ...although I haven't labeled them, there are three well known features that are prominently seen in this pano on the north side of Sedona. ...they are from left to right, Chimney Rock, Capital Butte (a.k.a. Thunder Mountain) and Coffee Pot Rock. ...I took the images for this pano from a vantage point above the city on Airport Mesa facing north. ...All the architecture in Sedona is designed to blend well with the Red Rock/Southwest desert setting. Sedona has the only McDonald's fast food restaurant in the world without "golden arches"...the city said yellow would not mesh...McDonald's offered turquoise and the city agreed! Bill:) P.S. Very zoom worthy. "How Would You..." thumb_2239484.jpg

A beautifil pano, Bill, and it really shows how well Sedona is situated with the spectacular landscape. I have read many times about what a magical place Sedona is, and the photos you and Tara have uploaded certainly confirm it! I really must visit there someday.. Moset excellent, my friend!

Great looking buttes. Must be over 1,000 feet high or more. Sedonia? I had to look closely to see the buildings....streets more easy to see. Great job with the colors. Great job putting the panorama together. Love it! "Where's that green MacDonalds? I'm hungry!" - T.Rex. Er, there we go again. That's all he thinks about - food! Keep up the good work! :-)
