My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A most amazing place. The pictures we got from here remind me of a digital painting you did of some softly rounded hills in Africa...although these colors are far more pronounced. Love the light in this photo and the fact that it is for me. Times we'll not forget:)

FABULOUS! spectacularly beautiful. I used most of those oxides and carbonates when I was a potter. I still have my glaze recipe book. This could be folds in some expensive velour felt that I would want to make a hat out of.

You know - when I first saw this image, I thought it was a photo of canvas or fabric of some kind with the soft colors dyed into it. This is really amazing, Tara! I'm digging this - and like jif3d, I'm thinking about trying this in Vue or Bryce.. Tooooo cool!

Volcanic activity makes for some of the most dynamic and gorgeous photography! I'm rather glad that Earth is a geologically active planet...because of stuff like that. I'm also glad that it's not more geologically active than it is! I love the colors and the shapes in this. It looks almost like a macro shot of a lumped bed-quilt! This is super!

Another one of my favorite places to visit in Oregon. We are going to go back in the spring. Lovely picture!

Looks like some piece of velvet, so soft. Very interesting textures. Almost an abstract.

Hard to believe that this is a part of the landscape - in some ways abstract... Clive
