UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful capture of this beautiful volcano I love it! I live within viewing distance of Mt Hood, Mount St. Helens and Mt Adams and if I'm in the right location, I can see all three at once

When mountains and volcanos are far enough away they are less depressing than close too! Lovely pic.

All that's missing is the Mustang flying accross!!

Oh, oh! I first thought Mt. St. Helens, but that wasn't so neighborly in the positive sense. I like the way the clouds form a "crown" over the peak, almost as though something's going on. But, 45 miles is a rather short distance considering the power of something like this erupting (Mt. St. Helens still in my mind). I've experienced earth quakes ("shake 'n bake"), fire, flooding (not tsunami type, fortunately) and some other catastrophes, but... thank goodness, not a volcanic eruption. So, in case of emergency, I sincerely hope you and Tara are at a safe distance. The sun light on the snow really brings out the steep sides against the blue-gray haze surrounding the peak. Keep up the good work! :-)

Oh, I was expecting Mt St Helens, but this is even better. Cool contrast of the dark foreground against the powder blue effects of the beautiful volcano and sky in the distance, Bill.

By no means one could relax when visiting this mountain even if it looks friendly. Beautiful shot. Aloha

Great capture and an ominous looking cloud. I'm glad it is only a cumulus. When we used to fly along the cost at 10,000-ft plus, and it was rainy and/or cloudy and the weather was miserable on the ground, the peaks that were usually visible were Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Shasta. Mt. St. Helens was usually hidden in cloud since it was a little less than 10,000 and it was Mt. St. Helens that provided all the fireworks in May 1980. From Everett Glacier Peak was hard to see and one had to know where to look and it appeared somewhat smaller than either Mt. Baker or Mt. Rainier, since they were both a little higher and a little closer, relative speaking.

Well, let's hope it remains neighborly.... What a great shot, Bill - just spectacular!
