Description

The view from Arch Rock Picnic Area, about halfway between Brookings and Gold Beach, Oregon. Erosion changes the world bit by bit. The forces of nature slowly, slowly carve the rocky coastline into new patterns and new formations. The fully separated rock on the right shows the future of the headland on the left. The Oregon Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and every square inch of the more than three hundred miles of beach from the water's edge to the vegetation line has been public access since 1967. Looks familiar. I was roaming around Canon Beach a few years ago... Great lighting! When I took pictures of the coast I had a lot of glare, but I was using a cheap Sony Cybershot camera.

Truly spectacular capture, especially considering it's sunny; I've been to the Oregon coast many times, but rarely has been other than cloudy and/or rainy. These rock formations are breathtaking! Did you get to the "holey" rocks near Coos Bay at all? Some really fascinating ones there!

I know exactly where you took this from. It's a beautiful spot & you've captured it with a very lush color palette - it looks great...
