Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

Oh my gosh Dana!! I have been rather MIA from Rendo for a bit and didn't know this was going on. I am SO glad that the cancer scare was just that...but I can only imagine what that does to a person! So glad your MIL is doing all right and that you and Jo are back in sunny Florida. Although I have to say that winter here in NH hasn't been that bad yet. Oh, we've had some REALLY cold nights, down in the single digits, but the days haven't been bad...and this week most days are supposed to the in the low 40's. Warm for January! We just took the pump out of our koi pond for the winter. I think this is the latest we've had it running, but with the bitter nights we didn't want the pump and waterfall to freeze up. But just a couple of months and the ice should be gone! Enjoy the sun, sand and warmth my friend!

Sorry to hear you have such a traumatic time Dana and that you and your friend are OK now, It must have been very worrying. I'm a bit out of touch as my computer died before Christmas, I have a new one now but apart from installing everything again I have had to get used to the new operating system, but boy is it a beast, very fast. Nice shot that's one big tree.

I'm touched by your image and your words, Dana. The lights seem to reflect what God did for you. And how you can tell us about this oppressive six weeks of testing, it is amazing to see how powerful you have undergone such a difficult period. That this light will shine for a long time for you, dear friend. Greetings from the heart also to your wife, Jo. The best wishes for your mother, and to all a blessed 2013.
