Description

A brief pause from my Yellowstone postings this morning for two photos I took in the last couple of days around our house. We've been having a heat wave here ever since we came home from our trip (mid 90's to low 100's, though it cools off late at night), so we've been limiting our outdoor activities & staying cool indoors most of the time. This is an Oregon Swallowtail butterfly on the lavender in my front yard. The handsome Oregon Swallowtail is the official state insect of Oregon.
