Description

while walking along the waterline of the Columbia river during my stacation, I chanced upon this beautiful Heron who decided that I was not a dnager and let me take a few photos of him. Very beautiful bird, I must say!

So beautiful here! What a perfect shot. I've never seen one of these birds in person. Love all these big rocks too! I've been big rock hunting in the woods for a few months now for placement on my property. Found some really nice ones. Be easier to find them now that the weeds are dying off too. The real fun part is carrying them home. LOL.

Very cool shot of this heron, Mike! Lucky you to actually get a shot of it! LOL I've tried a few times with the ones we have around here, but they always fly off before I can get a good shot. It's like they're saying, "Here...... take a picture of this!!!" as they fly off! LOL

Very nice shot, I find some herons don't see to care about humies, one sits on the railings of a bridge I use and just ignores me (which is good because it's bill looks very long and pointy)
