Description

while walking along the waterline of the Columbia river during my stacation, I chanced upon this beautiful Heron who decided that I was not a dnager and let me take a few photos of him. Very beautiful bird, I must say!

I take staycations all the time! I kinda agree with Ironsoul, those beaks look kinda stabby.

Good capture! We get the occasional one fishing in the River Eden below Eden Bridge in Carlisle, but I've never managed to snap one yet.

One of the things I like about this site is when us old-timers tell an old joke. I remember how many years Denise tried to get that damned heron! LOL! This is a great dedi to Denise, and to those days before the herons did her bidding. :P Wonderful! :)

Mike, that is one heckuva spectacular shot of this beauty! Lucky you--I haven't seen one since the move south. I guess the waterways down here are not as popular with the big birds. I'm honoured by this dedication, thanks so much!

as always, zoom brings out a lot more...the piece is big, peaceful and sweeping, and the sole heron is majestic on that rock. Very restful, deep hues too. You got a big praise from Denise---given her nature photography, that's a major praise! And deserved. You do your surroundings proud, this is a beautiful shot with real majesty. More fine work from you.

I'm at over an hour in your gallery, so I have to leave. I hope to be back here soon. You have such wonderful variety in your art. And, though I didn't do any Daz pieces, I guarantee you, it'll be a lonnnnnng while before I'll ever get near that good with poser. I just don't 'get' 3D. It's so difficult! Makes me appreciate what some of you do, all the more.
