Description

I sprained my knee the other day while playing football, so I had plenty of time to work on this scene yesterday. It's not quite finished so feedback on what to improve would be very appreciated :) Especially the mountains doesn't look right, but I can't figure out what's wrong with them. Help! And I'm also looking for some free duck-models to put on the lake. Please let me know if you know where to find one :) Thanks for viewing! - Thomas :) UPDATE! - added some more haze to the mountains- - added depth of field -

You can find a duck here: http://www.vistainternetproducts.com/ I agree the mountains are off. Maybe too large or too much haze? Everything else looks awesome.

Beautilful, I like the colours and the contrast... and everything... I don't know what can be wrong with tthe mountains, they are so alike 'my' Alps on some bright terse winter morning, maybe the snow can be be only on the higher part... I don't know about ducks... I modeled a swan once, it's untexturized and not poseable, but if it can be of some use, I'll gladly give it to you...

First of all this looks great to me. I like the texture on the mountains very much. IMHO the mountains are little bit too high. Additionally they look too "rounded" or "soft" to me, especially at the top above the trees. However, these are just minor things.

I agree with gerberc, the mountains are a little too soft they could do with being a little crisper and more rock like but apart from that I think it's brilliant, good composition, light, colour etc. Don't think it needs any ducks.

Gorgeous scene! I think mountains are fine but there is a brown spot I don't quite know what it is. maybe some sort of weed that is close to the camera?

a loud wow! Maybe a swan can do. I found one somewhere (maybe in the freestuff section) for Poser. Try planit3d.com - i am not sure about this. Or 3dcafe.com of course. I think the texture on the mountains is not right. Too smooth or too big (i am not sure). Hope your knee is better, Walther

Personaly ,I would rescale the mountains to a smaller size,I feel you would gain far more depth to the scene. They look a little up close and personal if you know what I mean. Its not easy trying to get everything to scale. Anyway its your pic and not mine,so as long as you'r happy. Overall so far you have done a very fine job.

Oh my lawd! This is a stunning pic! Well done! Only thing I'm not sure about is a sort of brown blur to the left (foreground) - looks like a pen stroke that went astray!
