Description
Traveling together through the Alps in February I suddenly asked my cousin to stop, because I saw something spectacular. Surrounded by water this small island was still covered with snow. It is just that moment my eye fell on this, else this jewel would have been passed without notice. It is the Fernsteinsee in Austria.

This lake is situated at an altitude of 930 metres in Austria, where trees grow almost as high as they do in the valleys. The lake was not frozen and the layer of snow was old and not thick.

This Photography is so mystical - the blue reflections on the water - the contrast of this 'Blue' to the green trees with weathered trunks.
The form of the island, combined with the snow are an add-on that make this image balanced. Perfectly balanced and mystical.
This is one of the most amazing and wonderful pictures I have ever seen
