Description

The formation of ice makes even of the most common objects something fascinating. The curved stems covered by thick layers of ice-crystals make me think of a crowded frozen army like the Terra-Cotta Soldiers of the Chinese Qin-dynasty. They all wait for the command to climb the mountain, but I guess we'll be earlier on top than these soldiers.... Jan-Carel, This is the most spectacular, most stunning, most beautiful, most completely awe-inspiring, most incredible winter scene i've ever set eyes on!!! hmmm...wait a minute...what about the rest the your gallery??? well that's different. oh no...how do i decide which is your best? i give up...but something about this one is so, so special. that bridge in the background...sigh..the mist. i really don't think i can tell you now how this image affects me. I've been here...at this image...for a long, long time now. Robert Theroux always heard music with his images. i hear music too. Onward Christian Soldiers. i can't get out of my head how Christ dying on the cross leaves us snow-white. he takes away our sins and this is what we look like. that's all i can tell you. no more words...just falling tears.
