Description

The formation of ice makes even of the most common objects something fascinating. The curved stems covered by thick layers of ice-crystals make me think of a crowded frozen army like the Terra-Cotta Soldiers of the Chinese Qin-dynasty. They all wait for the command to climb the mountain, but I guess we'll be earlier on top than these soldiers.... Quite impressive...looks like a forest of dead coral! Or the marching hammer from The Wall covering in ice. :) You know, if you spent less time compiling end of the year lists, you'd be able to spend more time visiting people's galleries...hahah. Great photo!
