Need help please..... I created a sarong clothing object... added it to the P5 library.... Problem is...when i go to add it to a character from the library, it's added as a prop and the "conform to" button is ghosted. How do i add this as a seperate figure so i can conform it to a character. Is this the way to do it? Appreciate any help D.K ~0~

Did you save it as a prop (pp2 file)? If so, it's not possible to conform it. Conforming clothing needs to be cr2-files and added as characters. They need a joint setup similar to the character they are made for in order to conform correctly. However, if the sarong is a prop, you can "clothify" it in the Cloth Room and make it fit the character properly that way.

This is what I'd do.......might not be the best way. Load the object you wish to make conforming, then go to the setup room. In the setup room, load the bones of the character you wish it to conform to. With the grouping tool, assign all the polygons to the hip. Exit the setup room and save your figure. you're probobly wondering why I say to assign the whole thing to the hip.... Something you could try that might be simpler.... Load your figure, then the prop. Change the prop's parent to the hip, then set it to 'inherit bends of parent'. Try it and see if the results are acceptable. Bloodsong has a very good tutorial on her site, I'm including the link for you.

You can also download Rubio's Sarong and see how he did the bone structure (as well as use it in your figure). The hardest part for me is assigning the polygons to each bone properly. I'm getting fair at making the objects, but boning it to conform is a right pain. UV Mapper helps a lot. A sarong will probably need 5 or 6 bones to be well conforming: hip, abdomen, lButtock, rButtock, lThigh, and rThigh. Each name must match exactly to the group of polygons you've created. I agree start with making everything part of the hip, and take it at need from there. Here's the link to Rubio's website. He is one awsome modeler.
