The spots are just the other side of the cloak crickled alittle bit too close to it's parner side. But it won't always be there. Double sided geom like cloaks it tricky. With morphs there might be times where one side will collide with the other trying to get to it destination following the shorted path. It is like Vicki's face doing wierd things under some combined morphs. Just par per the course. One reason people don't do double sided geom. Bit don't let it worry you it is easily fixed. Just try a slight morphs jiggle and it will go away. :) ANd if you're not going to see it(like where the head is on the inside, don't worry about it.

lupus, this sort of problem is inevitable in Poser, especially with morphs that bend or fold the double-sided fabric. As Anton said, morphs are linear. There's no way to completely avoid the poke-through issue with certain dial combinations without adding tons of ERC-controlled corrective morphs, and that would make the figure too large and unwieldy to be a viable product.
You can't handle the truth! Ok, maybe you can.. Truth is us DAZ employees don't model anything. As you've all pointed out this week, we are clearly unable to research, test, read, have feelings, and in general think actual thoughts. So its actually the Modelling Elves, who make the products. Unfortunately, the night before the cloak was to be made, someone accidently left a bottle of vodka out with their usual crackers and water. Well you can imagine the mess we found the next morning. Polygons and texture bits all over the place. We managed to sew the "paperdoll" cutouts back into the cloak, but I guess we missed a few spots. ML
Seriously, Just a few dial jiggles and it goes away. Honest.

For Pendy and Judith, I forgot to tell you above, just use HoodClassic at .1 and it will bubble the hood and seperate the pieces in that spot. Any other questions you can use email. Catch ya later.

I don't mind doing postwork Fran, this was the start of a texture for sale. I wanted to be sure that the cloak was working properly.

Thanks Anton :) And I'm like Judith, postwork is fine, but when I'm getting ready to start a texture for sale also, as a developer, I'm sure not going to "expect" my customers to post work something out. That plainly sucks and you might as well put it in freestuff, I don't expect people to have to postwork anything if they have paid their hard earned money for it. Thanks for your workaround Anton, I really appreciate it!! That is something the 3rd party developers can put into their readme's for their customers, so they will know ahead of time this may happen and what to do if it does. That and the weird thing on the texture (which I'm still not sure what that is) was the only two things I have found in the quick time that I worked with the cloak. I was and am still in love with it and can't wait to try it out in some actual renders :) Pendy

I agree with you then, if I was texturing it for resale then it would indeed be an issue, for private use NBD. I haven't even gotten around to looking at texturing this, but it has got to be a blast. BTW, and a little OT, but has anyone gotten a chance to use the mesh warp with the new PSP8? I used it last night, and it's too kewl. Back to regularly scheduled topic now.
I've not gotten to use PSP8 yet, but I'm definately looking forward to it :) That mesh warp does look really cool ;) I agree for private use, NBD, postwork would cover it without a problem. My other issue was the weird thing that I got when I rendered with the Maid Marion texture, (post #7) If anyone else gets that I would really appreciate knowing about it, because to me that is still an issue also. Because of the gorgeous trim work on it, postworking that is going to be a real PITA. But if it's Poser being stupid for some reason, I'll have to figure out a work around for that also. Pendy
Judith, et al - I know how you feel about selling an add-on for an item that's flawed in some way. Fortunately in this case there's a workaround but in some cases you just can't hide it or work around it. There was a V3 clothing package I bought for which I had about 6 excellent texturing ideas. Unfortunately the collar area stretched so badly that it would have been impossible to use any kind of repeating pattern - no matter how subtle - or a bump map. Even just slightly contrasting solid colors looked awful. I had to scrap the project. I contacted the vendor but got no response :( -Nancy
Thanks Nancy :) In this case, all's well that ends well and it appears to be working fine. Ironically it happened in default position, which was unexpected.
