You're welcome, folks. The only suggestion I have for dirt road textures is to use something without an apparent direction to it. Roads can curve and it would look a little funky. You know like wood grain going in the wrong direction on the sides of picture frames.:) There were a couple of really nice dirtish type procedurals for planes and terrains on one of the content cd's. I don't remember which version of Bryce that was though.
Thanks Sylvia!! Can't wait to try this out. Arleen
There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.
one suggestion for the dirt road, is to use the sand texture and modify the colours, i find this looks good as grit.
Experience is no substitute for blind faith.

It'll be close. When I tried that though the road ended up with a funky surface. The intersect makes the surface exactly the same as the terrain. But, Lale from the Bryce list figured out an even simpler one that works very well. No booleans at all! Create a terrain. Give it a road texture. Duplicate and use black in the TE to cut the road. Give it a grass texture. Raise this second one slightly on Y.

Using only Bryce you can make paths that follow the terrain! No image editor needed, though you can use one if you want to get the exact size and edge you want.Tutorial at my site in link.
