THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: WAY, WAY OT! But worth it! I FOUND A RIVER ON MARS!!!

Vile ( ) posted Sun, 21 December 2003 at 7:39 PM · edited Tue, 11 February 2025 at 2:04 PM

There is a river on Mars and there is liquid running in it! click on the link to
see it.
This is not a joke or a prank.

As some of you know I am an amateur astronomer and I love
Mars! With all of the probes at mars there is a wealth of images and data being
sent here. Some of which, because of the shear mass of information, may have
been missed by scientists. And now with the announcement that
Mars is getting out of an ice age this
is very plausible

Well awhile back I found a feature that is in my opinion a
river and did some detailed analysis of the formation. Please let me know what
you think and if you know any Mars buffs out there please direct them to this! I
tried sending it to Space.com but never got a
response maybe its just not time ;) for people to know.

Comments welcome and I would love to hear what anyone one
thinks about my analysis! Thanks all I know this is way off topic but I wanted
some review from my peers!

Many congratulations, Vile! I'd send this to NASA or JPL. IIWU Regards The Bryster

Definitely inform them of your doscovery! This means there may be a rudimentary form of life there beyond simple bacteria, in fact there may be an entire subterrean ecology that we know nothing about. If there were significant quanity of sheet micas beneath the surface layer they would act like a window to allow light to penetrate into subterrean caverns formed by volcanic activity. So cool!!!

I have been following this for some time and have found some, well hesitance of NASA scientists of letting this out to the public. Dont know if it would work to just email NASA/JPL. That whole hearsay and townsfolks with torches and pitchforks ala Galileo (who in case you dont know announced the world to not be the center of the Universe and the church persecuted him!). If there is life on Mars as you said Zhann very likely a good place for it would be subterranean rivers (which this one was most likely at some point). And although it does not change my life too much I think there are still people around who may not handle this news too well. I am curious how many of you would be shocked or have a life change if we were not the only planet having life?

Vile ( ) posted Sun, 21 December 2003 at 8:18 PM

Thanks I am glad you guys like this. I think the timing has to be right as well, if there is life the scientist would want to study it for some time before announcing this. For one it may be really different then life here and two to eliminate fear (we fear that which we dont know or understand).

Maybe when you die here on earth, your spiritual energy is released so you can be born somewhere else in the universe, it would be arrogant of us to think we are the only life out here, it's a BIG place....

Ever hear of synchronistic, a Yahoo group, these people discuss such things in depth. Not only have they discussed this, and the other images of Mars which seem to show pyramids, and other building evidences of intelligent life, but also UFOs, and such. Take this information to them, as they will certainly believe you. They have researchers into this kind of thing, and taken to its logical conclusions .... most of the time.

Cool pics! It even looks like you can see a modest reflection of part of the canyon wall. It seems there's been running water on Mars in the past, but not much indicating there was any or much running water as of now. If this discovery is true, then it has implications towards having a manned mission to Mars and possible colonization. Mars could have a deep permafrost type environment. Such a climate may look pretty dry on the surface, but as soon as it gets warm enough - there's plenty of water and erosion and floods can happen pretty quick. BTW, ever try emailing this stuff to George Noory?

This fascinates me to no end.Although I do not get too involved with astronomy,it does catch my attention. I totally believe in that spiritual energy release Zahn. As I believe that for every star you see it is a sun for another system such as ours.Has to be.

"I have been following this for some time and have found some, well hesitance of NASA scientists of letting this out to the public." They're probably trying to avoid another "Face on Mars"-type controversy. Seeing is not always believing, but it is for some people, even though indistinct photos can be misinterpreted. :^) After looking at the photos you've collected, Vile, you do make a good case for interpreting the photo as being evidence of water, if these photos are accurate and haven't been altered (and I have no reason to doubt you, Vile). Thanks for sharing. John

can I start selling waterfront lots?..;) I've heard some indications of riparian features before, but there's always need for more proof. Hope you found something, and you get credit for it.

sigh if they do find a river on Mars, my husband will just want to pack up, and go there for the fishing. ;-)

Looks like water to me! I'm not expert, i'm not even an amateur, heck, i don't know much about astronomy at all, but i'd have to say...i'm convinced. Congrats...or good work...or something.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Mon, 22 December 2003 at 2:03 PM

I have been facinated by Mars for years and when the Apollo missions were happening I longed for the day when mankind would go to Mars. Now it seems we are closer to achieving that goal than ever before and I for one will be glued to my computer screen when it does happen. I did some work a few years ago on extremophiles, species that can live and live well in extreme environments. Here on earth there are several, mainly bacteria, living in extremes of temperature and acidity. So it wouldn't surprixe me at all to find life in the sub soil or even at depth in the Martian crust. Vile, yes I believe your photos are accurate, and I believe our government has tried to keep this hidden for a long time. A lot of countries are starting to get into the Mars probe business, and a lot of them have different agendas, and political views from the U.S. We might find out something astonishing from the initial transmissions from the U.K's Mars-probe,H.M.S. Beagle, but I doubt it. England and the U.S. are "tight" right now and I think they toe a common line. One of these days a Chinese, or a French probe will find out what we already know, and then the lid is off!
