There is a problem with the joints. Look at Penny's elbows and knees (knees guys, not thighs). Anyone know how I can overcome the severe bending effects that I'm seeing. Also, I'm still not happy with the lighting, and suggestions on how to improve it? More lights/lower intensity or fewer light/higher intensity? By the way, if you want to see my earlier version of this, it has apparently been moved to the complaints forum, along with all my other posts. Maybe JeffH is a tad sensitive, not that I'm complaining! (I'd get kicked out again). Being a moderator can be a sh** job. Anyway, I've made a formal complaint about Jeff's censorship so I have no need to complain here. But if you wany to see what I complained about, then the complains forum is the place to go! Look forward to your replies (about the bending problems). IsaacNewton

The problem is that you aren't very good at using Poser. Not that I'm complaing or anything. You have no clue about how to set up the shadows. Select the lights and increase the Map Size to get rid of that shadow problem. Not that I'm complaining or anything. The problem with the joints is one that everyone has when bending them this far. They aren't made for that. You need to create morphs for the joint areas so that when you do bend them like this. You can compensate for it. But I doubt you are capable of that. Not That I'm complaining or anything. You can also adjust the jp's so that this type of bending looks a little better. But the figure won't look very good when standing up. But you probably are too stupid to do that too. Not that I'm complaining or anything. You could have posted a pic of this without all the JH B.S. Not that I'm complaining or anything. ScottA

Yep, this is definately a personal attack on me, but you know what? I'm going to leave it right where it is. -JH.

Well, thanks for your own special brand of subtle and razor sharp wit, ScottA. The suggestion to make morphs for the joints at extreme bending positions is a good one. Moreover, one I am capable of trying. As your sharp senses obviously picked up from the picture I posted. Increasing the map size is an idea I have heard before but obviously forgot. Thanks for the reminder. One's memory starts to decline after passing puberty, as you'll no doubt find out for yourself one day. As for adjusting joint parameters; I may indeed be too stupid, too old, too fat or just plain too ugly to work out the best way of using the jp's, but when I have an image that is really important to me I might give it a try. Regarding all the JH B.S. as you call it, have you ever read 1984, by G.Orwell? 'Suppose not, well you could try Animal Farm, by the same author, I hear there is a comic-book version of that. Thanks again for the useful suggestions. IsaacNewton

It'll be worth leaving it here if it stops more petulant crap appearing. It is a fine monument to stupidity. If people don't like the place they should leave. Spending so much time hanging around and bitching is pathetic. Bang! "If you want to shoot, shoot. Don't talk, eh."

I couldn't of said it better ScottA. Isaacnewton, I wish I could say what I really think , but I don't want to reduce myself to your level. The forum isn't isn't here for personal attacks. This forum isn't your personal gripe gallary either! JeffH and others here will help you become a better artist with Poser, but you don't seem interested inproving your work. You need lots of help.

ScottA ( ) posted Mon, 18 September 2000 at 5:12 PM

Now hold on here folks. Maybe we misunderstood the picture. Maybe it was not meant spirited. But Political or something like that. After reading his reply. I'm not sure. People think very differently sometimes. And the world is a big place with lots of different lines of thought. It looked like a poor attempt at slaming Jeff. So if it was not. Then take my reply for what it's worth. The answers ARE the correct ones. ScottA

Perhaps, Scott, you would be kind enough to show be some of your own fine work. So, a dumb ol' boy like me can look and learn. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Actually, Shay (may I call you Shay?) I am very much interested in improving my work, as you might have noticed if you had taken the time to actually read my previous reply. Doubtless, there is indeed much room for improvement, and I'm willing to learn. You are right about one thing, at least, the Forum isn't anybody's personal anything. Which, of course, is the point of my previous complaints. BTW do you have any nice artwork to show me, so that I can become a better artist myself? IsaacNewton

Shay Kit Gurl ( ) posted Mon, 18 September 2000 at 5:47 PM

If you want inspiration then go to the galleries Isaac. Lots of wonderful works there. I post my art work under another name, not wanting to confuse one with the other. I'll keep it at that. If you want technical help with Poser or help with making better renders then talk to the artist here. If you want to talk politics, gripe, complain or attack then C&D is your best bet. I'm Shay to most.

hehehe. I love it when people ak me to show them my work. Thinking I'm all talk ;-) I don't have any pictures handy. But here is my web site: http://www.pixelatious.com Look around. And grab some stuff if you like. It's all free. It's not exactly Lucas arts studios. But Metacreations thought it was good enough to put it on their web site. And asked me to join them on some projects. Did MC come knocking on your door? ScottA When will they ever learn? ;-)
