Great work 3dzone. Mask and use of my clothing is outstanding as usual. As for making a mask, I will put it on my list of things to do, but I can't say how long it will be till I get on it. marty

Here is a money shot!!! Just mixing up some of the toys, hehehehe. Knotice I didn't show any naughty bits, but I checked the nudity button anyway. This is my AnimeDoll Harness mixed with the BFS package. Riddokun, we plan to submit Battle Force Senbotsu in the next couple days.

lol nice pictures Insomnia, you know looking at your strappy bondage thingy that would make the base for a good combat harness, if you could get it to fit over the catsuit and remove the collar piece, I think it would look ok :) (maybe the studs too)

i really like nanoshi's camo/military textures for the catsuit as well as he head gear. please tell me if/when/where it may be released. anyway juste one question/notice abotu the headgear: don't you think the small metal branch that helps the googles beign fixed are a bit too thin ? though ti looks nice, in theory, in the practice/realistically speaking, suh a head set would break, ney ?

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 9:58 AM

maybe, but if it was solid metal it would be quite rigid, and it is only meant as a size adjuster I'd assume the weight is supported on the nose like with most goggles/glasses. But hey it's sci-fi and it was my first model :) if you can tell me how they get those visors and head phones you see in anime to stay on the ones with no visible means of support then we can re-address the rigidness of sci-fi plastics and metals hehehe :) You do have a point and I put it down to me making the thing up as I went along, and my novice modelling skills stopping me from putting my vision to polygons :) Ideally the visor would go straight into the headphones, but I couldn't think how to do it. The cammo pack is going to be released to the market this week as Insomnia said in a previous post :) So stay tuned :)

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 10:21 AM

woow don't get angry like that... i cannto model myself so i won't criticize the modelling part of your job... but as i already "KILLED" headgears myself, i can tell you how "cheap" the design can be sometimes, no matrter it looks firmand solid :) and well, yes in many anime you just cannot figure out how it can stay inplace anyway. i was just pointing at a little fact genuinely, keep the obj as it is anyway. jut those small thin branches brought flash back of the graves of my previous headsets :)

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 10:54 AM

hehehe I wasn't angry :) If I was angry I would have ommited the smiley's and would probably have used different words :) was just my explanation of why it has thin arms :)I just put it down to space age plastics as an excuse for the fact I couldn't think how to do it lol I myself thought the arms where a little thin but didn't know how else to do it at the time. I could, and probably will re-make them at some point.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 11:00 AM

hmm thanx... btw insomnia, i saw compiler explain to poor lame newbie i am on previosu catsuit thread how to make a trimless geometry of the catsuit. i followed the instructions (IMPORT the obj of catsuit, not load it through cr2), make a groupe including all trims materials, put a magnet roughly at abdomen, makes the szone to affect only the new group, scale the zone to some 10 000% and scale the magnet to 1%. then export the obj under a new name, and make a cr2 that call THIs new obj intead of he orignali had a strange erroer message "no groups in geom, cannot make the rsrc" what did i do wrong ? can explain ? btw would this .obj available through/from you as he mentionned ?

compiler ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 11:30 AM

I sent you a IM, Ridokkun. You probably forgot to check the "include existing group in polygon groups" option while exporting your new obj. Just re-export it again, checking this option and none other, and it should be OK. @Nanoshi : will you make this headgear available for the Gang ? Pretty please ?

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 11:31 AM

It usually happenes to me as well when I've saved clothed characters (Cherry and Diane from RPGWorld) and when I load them again, I get that error. Then they appear naked. So everytime I load them to make a pic of to improve, all clothes appear invisible. I too, do not know why.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 11:35 AM

oki compiler, sorry when iposted this message, there was still no IM in my box... well so i uncheck ALL boxes then i only chck this one ? caue i tried to check this one but let others checked too and it was same mess... will keep you informed

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 12:23 PM

file_100967.jpg

managed to make it work. thanx compiler... well maybe none here noticed, but i released a "strange" texture pack that behaves nicely with most clothings. paradoxally, somethign as a catsuit did to give me the same results as most clothes i used it on... i understand now it was 1) because of the catsui uvmapping and 2) most trims. here is a samplepicture of a nearly trimless catsuit with one of my kolitextures. not as good as nanoshi's but it can make a decent camo too :)

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 12:35 PM

i have started building my first piece of clothing(other than a skirt...lol) i started it for v3 but while checking it out in poser,i thought i'd see what it would look like on the anime doll and it's so cute! so far it has 4 material zones it can be this babydoll nighty,a short tube top, a bustier and a strapless dress. it's far from done, but i just wanted to share :0)

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 1:54 PM

Ah yes dedicated to you also Compiler :) Nice dress 3DZ I agree with Compiler on it looking nicer on Anime doll, but I think anime doll is just more shapely than V3, I find V3 a bit dumpy in her natural state, don't know what anyone else thinks about that? cool dress though.

very nice resistance fighter nanoshi... i knew i forgot one thing: change color/settings for just front chest/breast fabric, and get back the small trims of it... btw what color and settings (highlight % etc) did you use ? i wanted to achieve such kind of dark green leather but i miserably failed :( in fact some other of the koli textures can suite other environnement (desert, etc)... in fact it is "so easy" to make (i mean the pictures) and so difficutl to recognize from source picture, that i can make a few more just for all of you to enjoy... can mix too with clear/frank tones in some cutted fabric, like in the gymnast thing, you know, a large clean stripe, and another stripe using koli :) (but it requires me to study catsuit mappign) advantage of koli textures i made is that you can dump them on nearly any cloth and it will look correct. you may see some seams at some material edges (unless i specifically make the textures for a given cloth.. i gave up for the initial pack... some 33 free clothes for mayadoll x 8 koli texts x 3 variations... made one tank top and it took me one hour cause i'm slow) at least the seams can be postworked easily aniway (or hidden by arm of character, etc), and it can look even good on a cellsahded image (made with this idea in mind at first) thanx nanoshi for the "maquisard" (name of the french resistane figthers emgaged in rural guerrilla tactics at that time)

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 7:40 PM

With Millitary colours you have to remember 'drab' basically to achieve a drab colour, mix the colour you want your item to be, then drag it towards the grey of the colour pallet, this will keep the same tone but drab it off for a more millitary colour.

Caly ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2004 at 8:26 PM

I like the dress. Like Nanoshi suggested, the catsuit could have extra textures for tights and optional necklines/sleeves. :)

hmm it is not killign cyborg, it can shoot down a spaceship even from a distance.. look at the buletts aargh ! only three ammos in the chamber. oh btw you may loose yoru arm (torn away) because of the firing :) looks nice

Nanoshi ( ) posted Tue, 16 March 2004 at 11:57 AM

yup nice and big rounds, recoil might break your wrist if you don't know how to shoot a gun, but those anime girls with their deinty wrists and boney arms always manage to fire this large calibre ammo like it's going out of fashion hehehe :) what ya reckon it is .60cal? maybe .70 :) there is actually a similar pistol in production today but it chambers 3 20 guage shotgun shells. hehehe wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that lot :)

Ok it's not the best gun in the world, but I had to use alot of different techniques to structure the basic shapes. I know it still needs a trigger and I can't seem to work the lights properly in Rhino so the front of the gun looks a bit funny in the picture but it's fine in the model.

Nanoshi ( ) posted Wed, 17 March 2004 at 11:24 AM

Hi gang I want to do another Puma Twins piccy and want to dec em out in the catsuit this time, how do you make that PVC/patent leather look? I been trying for ages and never come close to anything like it. I'm assuming it's by making use of a reflection texture, but what kind of texture would one use, and what setting should I use for the rest of the textures etc. Assume I want to use Red, White and Blue and maybe black as my colours, what highlight colours and reflection colours etc. would I use? I can't get my head round it lol. cheers in advance

nanoshi i made this chart of how i get different effects from the same color. in this example the color is primary red. try mixing different highlight colors to any base color to get nice sheens. my favorite as you can see from my previous posts is to use obj color black highlight color whatever at 100% to get that pretty satin finish.

bluebeard taught me alot about mixing colors in poser

Riddokun ( ) posted Wed, 17 March 2004 at 6:19 PM

so far, i noticed too that for makign metal ofr some effects, highlight and ambient color and strength would give even as good results sometime as a reflection map. but i still like to learn more about all that (nanoshi: stil failed miserably to manage to get the same green leather look on your resistance figther, but anyway i understood, and already knew, the trick about pushing the color to greyness.. but i do not understand he word "drab" though) insomnia works: thanx for the catsuit even if it requires much work from me (and my lame skills) as mostly a p4toon mode user, becaue it came handy at right time as it helps me now for a project i hve for a website of friends: i make them sentai girl team as mascots, and the catsuit solved my "sentai suit" problem ! anyway, does anyone plan to make very basic meshs or props of belt accessories, jetpack and such for some futuristic characters ? i dream since long ago to make a character like in old video game "burning ranger" with the strange jet pack and its four "wings" :)
