When I click on an ebot link I get: You do not have access to Coordinator Administration. A search turns up references to the link but clicking on any of them brings up the same thing. What gives?

I think that means they archived it, for admins only. Or maybe they moved it to the product forum.

The Admins grab all the good ones!

god, i had some messages for two people who posted things theere put them here: spinner: Well they are not "marginal" artists, and they are sold openly on stores, but at least specialised stores (means french comics art), not much in generic/overall librairies... In fact even if their word could be a good opportunity to be proud of european brand of art, if you ask most people in the street they would even hardly know by the name. anyway recently they made a "good" movie (sounded good, imho) out of from enki bilial's work (not an adaptation of one book, but inspired/gathered from the whole style of him) called immortal. Maybe with such a miracle event (woooow we french are making MOVIES again, it had been long time since we did..) more people will ge to know bilial and other like him. about local problems regarding japanese animation/litterature in my country, maybe in your's it echoed the same, if you wanna talk about it, lets start with IM and maybe if the size limit is too small for such exchange, we'll switch to email... I see no problem in sharing the informations/memories i had of that time. In fact anime addicts like me in my youth were "nearly" as much pointed as freaks. bijouchat: about the GIRL: i am NOT tired of japanese anime girls especially recentlty with corean art (manwah) or chinese mangas reaching our market (refreshing different styles), and due to the fact this genre is still bullied a lot here and misunderstood, but we finally made some progress, 10 years later than spanish, italians or other europeans... yet i like too (though rarely see it, sadly) the typical european toon pinups such as dany's work. btw do you ever know the work of a french artist "bruno bellamy" (mix of japanese anime and Dany/goosen style). He made various "sexy" pinup (often topless at the early time) a few years ago in some magazine. I think he has a website with samples. His character's face may remind you of those arts you displayed here (like the mag cover above)

oh cool Riddokun - thanks for the tip! I'll go check him out! oh, I have nothing against japanese anime girls - they just aren't all that pleasing to me, and there's too many of them around now. I never bought any of them and won't. The GIRL ... well I think she has some potential for other things. :) I can't wait to use her with the non-realistic renderer in Carrara Studio. Should really be cool.

Dear Mr. Williams: It died under the weight of its own hubris ;) Meanwhile, I concur with Bijou on the potential for the GIRL mesh... lots of room for lots of ideas there, and no, I'm not talkin' just pinups and cheesecake, either. (Although if Hack ever gets his meaty Wacom tablet lashed onto 'er...) I wonder what Neftis, Dark Whisper, and the fine folks at 3DC who assembled Alexa are thinking right now, though... out of the three, Alexa has the best support overall, but they all will get pushed aside to make room for you-know-what... I'm not passing judgements here (I have all three toon chars mentioned), but just saying what's likely to happen. I guess I'm wondering what the three folks (or group thereof) are going to do to keep interest alive in their own products? Then again, that all depends on how the Poser-izing of GIRL goes, no? /P

His site. CLick on the angel on his homepage, then go to "bellaminettes". He has done petite women with big eyes and big mouth for several years (Sylfeline was already there in the early 90s, may be late 80s).

compiler: first saw his work in the videogame magazine called "Joystick" at the time it was released once a WEEK (not the monthly version).. sure it makes me old :) He made a few for the motnhly version of the magazine, then for the boardgame/prg magazine Casus Belli if i am not wrong. Lost his track since then in fact i much liked very much his art and have (in a box in the attic or i hope) the very first ones, full page. Maybe if i get them back (if i did not lost them by changing home 4 time in two years recently) i could scan them, because at his website i did not saw ANY of the oke ones. i remember a matskinned/black island girl with a shet on the hips and a red flower in the long curly hairs, it was..hmm..;.well it was :) bijou: what is this rendere/carrera you are referring ? can you post typical examples ? ayway in nowaday's world dominated by DAZ's vickies and michael what a new character need is cloth support. If girl is released by DAZ she sure will have a decent cloth support (but yet again, at costy price).. well it makes me wonder: how on earth mayadoll could survive for one whole year so far with her flaws (never fixed) and few support. Now, than to anime version of it, she grew a good rmp support but still have decent free support too. While kaedeko (interesting character) i still asleep :( it's a hard time for new characters to enter such a locked market especially for free !

Riddokun ( ) posted Sat, 17 April 2004 at 3:00 AM

compiler: it was in the 80's because i was in highschool in the early 90's and the first mag he collaborated was yet monthly. So the weekly version of it was when i was younger :)
