No sign of refraction, diffusion of light below the water's surface, that play of lights from the water's surface(forget what they call that but there's a program that generates those that you can use as a gel in combination with a parallel light). Add a fish or two
you might check in the archives here. It was a hot topic about a year or so ago.
Keep at it you'll do fine if you can get past all the suggestions and develop your own style.
