You could just un-install the corrupt obp directories, create new ones and re-install them, instead of a complete Bryce re-install.

Take a look in the directory and see if there is a *.tmp file. Delete it if it is there and try again. Check my site - I have empty object and material preset files for download. You can delete the ones that are broke and replace with the empty one. Hope you didn't loose anything important.LVS - Where Learning is Fun!

Are you opening the same file each time you have the generic failure? If so, it may be that the file has been corrupted. I also had a problem with a texture file having a file name over 32 characters long that caused Bryce to give a generic failure.

not long time ago... i impotr an obp in bryce 5.... and when i delete it.... almost objects i had in my import objects... dissapear. But now.. when i try to import obp objects... it's mark generic faillure. Can i remedy to this whitout reinstall bryce 5. Because i have lot of stock to reinstall back... (sky... materials... ) Help please DonCorleone
