The purple/blue combination looks like one of a variety of auto paints available for sale here in the Marketplace in a set called Magic Mirrors. There are several combinations from magenta/purple to blues, greens, etc. They look good on lots of other stuff, too.WARNING!

Note; contrary to Stewer's method, I din't use a sphere map in my reflection node as I wanted my car to reflect the scene itself instead of an arbitrary environment (Poser purism? There are actually NO textures in these pics, only materials :-). Thus these images do not reflect (no pun intended ;-) the true extent/ beauty (?) of the paint.

Oh I forgot to mention in my last post that I am using 2 lights:
Infinite white
Spot Green
Below, Ive modified the material abit.
Ive added a spectacular colour to the car paint value. The settings used are displayed below.
Ive done this so that the car reflects the colour of the surounding lights too!!
Here is another interesting one.

Quote - The link listed above no longer works... Shame. I was interested to see what they were, based on this thread. I guess I'll just have to work up some on my own.
Try these :)

Nice to see my Magic Mirror product mentioned. However, the link appears to be broken. The set can be found here... [ market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php](http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=28168&vendor=260309)Content Advisory! This message contains nudity, profanity

This are three pics from my gallery (there are much more cars and bikes) using different shaders based on bagginsbill and stewer (thanx, and humble myself). An absolute must is an environment sphere (or in a white background a white egg above the car) to give you the reflections.
But with many cars you run into the "fly shit" problem where FireFly forgets to render polygons and single one polygon black spots appear. The usual remedies suggested here don't help in this case. They don‘t appear when you render the car in Cinema or 3ds max.
The other thing is that lighting conditions are crucial - one main sun light and an IBL is what I usually use. The first step then is to make an empty scene, light it, and use bagginsbills IBL out generator to create the pict for the IBL.
The colors in baggins shader or much more difficult to adjust than in the stewer shader - anyway its a lot of rendering trying to figure the color and shades.
But if you are interested in some shaders - or colors - send me an IM

Now for my question! Ok, anyone here played the game
"Need for speed underground 2"? Anyone love that beautiful Pearlescent
paint you can paint your cars!?
Anyways, what I am wanting to know is, if there is a way that
can I recreate this Pearlescent effect in P5?
Thankyou to all in advance!
Ascinct
P.S I ve added some images with the type of effect I am after!!!
