Which camera are you using to render with? Use only the Main, Aux, or Dolly Cameras.

heyas; somebody had a hella cool zebra striped sorta thing come out of a render. was that you? i saw something like this happen to one of my figures the other day. it happened when poser had been running a while and was getting tired. did closing and restarting help? (please also try to remember to use the nudity tag when posting images of nude figures, even if they are technical problems. ;) )

sorry about the nudity i wasnt paying attention only reason i posted them that way was to see the holes forgot about it I tried to restart close every combo you can think of none worked i also tested the pz3 and only happens on pro?

yeah sure ill send you any of them you want. keep in mind im not ragin on pro pack just looking for help to see what for sure is causing it so any help is welcome this is the only problem ive experinced and oterwise its definetly worth the money my e mail is travisbourbeau@prodigy.net;) thank you scott

Have you tried erasing the rsr for this figure and reloading? It doesn't appear on the hair so that's why I think its a corrupted rsr file.

The ProPack doesn't use RSRs anymore, it accesses the OBJ directly.

Uuuuugh. OK here's the deal. I looked at your files. And I'm not 100% certain that it's the .rsr's entirely. It could be that along with other things which I will explain below. But the real problem with these figure's is that they are not set up in the most logical way. Oh hell..... They're a real mess. OK? ;-) Sorry. The figure's have so many problems that it would take me all night to list them out. There was no shins in the heirachy for the man (.pz3 file not a PP issue) and the woman has a conforming figure (speedo) that isn't even in the proper position. The woman's figure is named MuscleMan. (very odd) I opened these figure in Compose to see exactly what geometry was hiding in there. I found all kinds of odd body parts in there that shouldn't be there. One entire leg of the male. But only the right leg!!!!!!Not the left. Very odd. And not good. It goes on and on like this. The figure's are sorta well......hacked together. My apologies to whomever made them. No offense intended. I'm positive that these figure's can be edited so that they work with the PP. But the work is going to be enormous. If you have the morphs for them saved separately somewhere. That will make it much easier. Because basically. You'll need to make these figure's over again using those morphs and apply them to a standard P4 figure again. Basically. The .cr2 files contain all kinds of stuff they shouldn't. I'm not so sure the .rsr's alone would fix this so that they would work with the PP. But it's a good place to start. I'm not real good at dealing with files like this. Multiple figures and all kinds of weird geometry in the cr2 files make my head hurt. Maybe someone else can fix these up. I'd end up Going Postal If I attempted it ;-) ScottA

Thank you scott thats terrible news since most of the files ive downloaded from 3d cc are like that but glad we found out now i have poser standard on another computer ill have to just use them on that one rather than pp i appreciate you helping me out i think ill just stick to trying to model characters in lw I think alot of people will be disapointed cause some of the figures put together that way are some of the most popular especially wyrms blade woman! These are the sites that the figs that do that come from if you want to try and mess with more for the hell of it witches wyrmms bbay morph world, 3dcc and one was from props guild. its to bad because all of them are excellent looking in poser 4 to bad they dont stay together! excellent work scott

I know Jeff. But there's something in the PP that's not able to deal with figure's being put together like this. I couldn't find the missing geometry in the poser files anywhere. So the only other place that they could be is in the rsr's. So this would explain why they would work in the standard Poser program. But not work in the PP version. But I'm not sure if that's the entire reason. There's all kinds of strange stuff in them that shouldn't be there. Kind of like someone went crazy with the grouping tool and didn't realize that that puts the geometry in the cr2 file. What he needs to do is open these figure's in the Non-ProPack version. Export all the morphs. And save the conformed stuff separately. Then apply them to the figure's in the ProPack version. That will get rid of all the un-neccessary custom geometry. And work directly with the standard .obj. ScottA

heyas; is it possible the pz3 got clobbered? you mentioned a pz3 file, scott, rather than a cr2. if something hit the hard drive, and a buncha pz3 files got cross-linked, think that might explain the muscleman woman with one right male shin and speedos somewhere? seen it happen with photoshop, and a chunk of one picture would become a conglomerate of a bunch of old pictures. very scary. :)

Interesting. I went to the 3dcc to download that Blade woman and see if those files were any different. And it's temporarily off line. I wonder if he's fixing it? ScottA

i have blade woman if you would like it also trashes her iv talked to other people so far there is at least 16 characters that have done this it must be something with combining parts from different charaters that pp cant handle without the rsr's becuase as far as i know thats the only major change from poser?

Yea. I think you're right. I just need to disect a figure that isn't too hacked up to bad to see If I can find out where the problem is. The Ultra morph woman in the freestuff here aparently does the same thing. But when I try to download it. I get tons of pop ups. But no files. We'll figure it out. It's just going to take a little time and investigation. ScottA

Ok Boys and Girls, Here is the scoop on the holes in your figures (which are really sexy by the way). There is a workaround until we fix this one and put it in a patch. The problem is that we are not parsing the files correctly in this case. We read the files a little different in Poser ProPack than we do in Poser4. We did not have a file that was constructed the way this file is built. We will fix it. In the .pz3 file there are lines that indicate the polygon groups for each of the figures actors. They look like this: g NewGroup Then followed by a bucket load of f's and numbers (the polygon assignments). Some of the "g" lines do not contain the word "NewGroup". The line is a single "G". This is a valid .obj command that means "Don't use these Polygons". These are the line that are causing the trouble. The polygon assignments in these groups are not being created when the file is open (hence the holes). The workaround: ANY line that contains a "g" line that is empty should be deleted. This will get rid of the holes. Our programmers tell me that these lines are very rarely used. You shouldn't see any adverse conditions in your model from doing this. Just incase you do have a problem, save the modified file with a different name so you still have the original. Oh, When I use the grouping tool to create new materials, I always go back and remove the groups (leaving just the materials). Does this remove the empty groups as well? -JH.
