Subject: V3 . . . pregnant . . . clothing

byheart ( ) posted Sun, 03 July 2005 at 10:29 PM · edited Tue, 23 July 2024 at 6:06 PM

I'm working with the V3 pregnancy injections and got that part right but find that none of the morphing clothes will morph to the pregnant belly and boobs . . . is there a way to inject the pregnant morphs into the clothing??? Need help! I've tried so many gowns that would represent a night gown that my head is spinning.

Poserworld has a couple things that might work, but I don't know about the morphs. There is a maternity outfit there (it's not a nightgown) and, if I recall correctly, a nightgown. I've you've got Poser Pro Pack or P5 (or P6), you might look into PhilC's Wardrobe Wizard. It's very good at allowing you to add believable morphs to clothes. There's also The Tailor, but I'm not as big a fan of that as I am of Wardrobe Wizard. Failing all that, you could try to learn about magnets. Many people love them. I've never personally had any luck at all with them, though. ;-) bonni

Wardrobe Wizard is very cool, and pretty easy to use. Lots about it around here in this forum, and here's a link if you want to check it out. :-)

Yes; I know it has the morph settings - I got a pose package from Renderosity with the injections . . . in it

I did some pregnant ladies using the Morphing Fantasy Dress. It's not a night gown, but the people in the MSN groups I'm in loved them. Also, if you are looking for some really great poses for a pregnant woman, check out Antje's store. She has some gorgeous poses that come with facial expressions. If you are looking to make just any clothing fit a pregnant woman, I do recommend Wardrobe Wizard. You can analyze it from the base figure, then inject the morphs and then fit the clothing to the new morphed figure. It's a great asset to poser.

It will also convert from any base characters you have so you will get a ton of clothes. It more than pays for itself. Marque

can't afford Wardrobe Wizard right now and I think it was Antje's pose package I got . . . got two; I thought the morphing clothes would fit all the morphs in the V3 model . . . see how dumb I am??? Expect a lot for my money - never dreamed the morphin clothes would fit the pregnant morph . . . want to do it all this time and now I get to it and am stick with a nude I can't use or psp clothing and I'm just not that good with the psp stitching . . . LOL

Which morphing clothes set do you have? The DAZ stuff has pregnancy morphs. I also have one of PhilC's packs, and I'm pretty sure they have Pregancy morphs on them too. I am positive that I have used both sets with Pregnancy morphs. The Tailor (which you can buy from DAZ) is probably the cheapest program you can get which will put the morphs in the clothes. It's not a great program for all of your conforming clothing needs, but it should be fine for adding just one full body morph. I actually still use the Tailor and it's fine as long as I don't give it too much to do. You can also use dynamic clothes. Create a simulation with frame 1 as your V3 in zero pose with no morphs, then maybe frame 15 or so she has full morphs. Turn down the stretch and shear a bit on the clothes, and at frame 15 you have it. (Get a tutorial to help you with this- I keep Jusletgo's tutorial here as a reference; you've been to PhilC's site, he has a dynamic clothing tutorial there too.)

O, I have toolBox and Clothing Creator and another another one - I just plain don't have the time or peace of mind to tackle one of them . . . ho hmmmm I think I have most or all of the morphing clothing from DAZ, I did get one dynamic gown from Renderosity that would be a perfect start, but haven't tackled that learning event either; I don't learn programs well from reading and thought tutorials are better, I have so many people demanding my time for other things that I couldn't even get through one attempt without someone messing with my mind! LOL poor me, right? yet, I've started and if they'd all just go on a 2-year vacation somewhere, I might be able to bluff my way through the rest . . . grandmaing wasn't supposed to be so time consuming . . . .

bjbrown ( ) posted Mon, 04 July 2005 at 1:44 PM

I have Clothing Creator also, and I also haven't learned to use it yet because I'm reluctant to learn new things. But I figure when it's important enough, I'll get to it. With every new thing I learn, though, I find out that it wasn't as hard as it appeared to be at first.

I hope you're right about that becaus eI hate buying things and leaving them lay . . .

If you have the MFD from Daz, you can very easily fit it to a pregnant woman. I don't have Poser open, but if I remember correctly, there are pregnant morphs in the dress that you can adjust. I am not very good with Poser and basically only play "dress up dolly" in it, and I managed to cover the stomach. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to learning programs.

Here is an example of what I did with the MFD and a pregnant woman. Sorry for the small size, but I haven't reinstalled my graphic program yet.

I'm looking for something a little more normal in a gown instead of that full skirt . . . will just have to look and see what I have in the way of textures but if it fits . . . that's half the battle . . .

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 05 July 2005 at 2:23 AM

I think you can shorten the gown by raising the hem up. I haven't tried it because I love the long drapey look. You might try PM'ing someone in the stores that has images of Pregnant women and ask what they did for clothing.

You can also shorten the gown by making the lower material zones invisble. ;) bonni

Dynamic clothing works well for pregnant figures.

How about the starlet gown? It'sd make a perfect nightgown with the right textures.

I'm working with the MFD and mad a trans and texture template for it - but the starlet would have been better - thought I looked at that one and it didn't have the pregnant morphs in it - better look again, I guess . . . and I KNOW I purchased a dynamic gown for V3 from a Render merchant - can't remember the namer of it . . will have to look . . . since I last posted, my Poser system had a hard drive failure and I've been scheduled for knee surgery . . so hopefully, soon, I will be able to get back to it . . . attaching the gown I'm working on . . . disregard texture, just grabbing whatever comes up first . . .

I wasn't sure te starlet had pregnant morphs - just figured t did to be honest.
