For some unknown reason, when I tried to load my Poser 3, I got a "not enough memory to run Poser" error... What's the deal with that? thanks :D

...at the risk of sounding trite I'd guess you don't have enough memory ;) Is your comp as old as P3? )

P3 didn't need much memory. It's probably a question of a new OS being incompatible with the obsolete app.

i can assure you, it is not my operating system, or that i dont have enough memory... i have been using poser for quite some time now, dont know what caused this...

I had a similar problem with poser 4 on my computer, you could try reinstalling it but uninstall first so that none of the old data is left behind because it might have got corrupted some way.

You would be much better off with poser 4, it can do much more than poser 3 can.

i have this italian disease you see... "myfundsarelow" :P

xantor ( ) posted Wed, 03 August 2005 at 12:58 PM

That was what I thought, but 4 is much better.

icandigit ( ) posted Wed, 03 August 2005 at 3:11 PM

honestly, ive gotten so used to using poser 3, and that it still does serve me very well, i havent the need for anything better... daz studio was a HUGE boost to what i can do and use, but i still havent seen the need to get a better a version... ( ( ), as there is always a but somewhere, the reason i needed poser this time was because i wanted to start making poseable models, and not until now did i have a need to upgrade... thanks...

The problem is actually too much memory. When Poser 3 was released, 1GB RAM was an unimaginable amount - nowadays it's commonplace. Poser 4 had the same problem to begin with, but a patch was released to fix it. Poser 3 was never fixed. Sorry. :( If you do upgrade to 4, you won't look back.
