Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 03 5:49 pm)
elenorcoli Just tried it in Poser 5, works OK just the same as Poser 6 bodi I would lock as few body parts as possible to avoid a wooden or robot look to the figure. Also dont use large percentages of the various blend styles or you can end up with some strange jerky movements. In the walk designer make sure you select your actual character, not just the basic figure, then the preview will show your character and you should be able to spot these problems and make adjustments before applying the walk. Remember to look at all the views as faults may not be visible from some directions. If problems remain you can edit the animation in the graph window,if you have lots of time and patience.

is it possible to "lock" part of a figure, say the upper body (chest, shoulders, arms, neck) , then using a walk animation sequence, or walk designer, w/out screwing up the upper body. im trying to have "mike" figure holding a gun in the "ready to fire" position as hes going around a corner, similar (hopefully) to army search/ clear sequence. i have the whole arms / gun /shoulders /head thing set where i want them but do not want them to really change as he is walking. another example could be simular to a waiter carrying a tray with a platter w/ dishes on it, the upper body has little or no swivel, or bending occuring while the lower body goes through the motion of the walk..........somebody help! thanks, bodi
