I'm one of the younger set, being only 27, though I sometimes feel older, and already have a few gray hairs.

41 here, but feel like I am 30.

TV doesn't cut it even with 300 channels, and not able to socialize. Dislikes bar scenes. Always on PC, learning 3D graphics, socializing, or playing online BF2/SF, but will change when Armed Assualt hits the shelf here.  On hot days, out with the Remote helicopter.

I was bald before my 30th, and I haven't changed then, perhaps a little more weigth and some grey hairs, but I never worry about my age and never tried to look younger, Like I told I'm almost 50 and damn proud about that. In Holland we say: the more older, the more crazier, and I like that.

I am so glad I was raised by older parents manners were drilled into all of us kids. I can remember being taught to stand when a lady entered or left the room and you always held the door for them. It was "yes sir, yes Maa'm. please, thank you, may I" etc. You were never allowed to mouth off to an adult no matter whom it was. You had respect for police and those who had charge of you and you where taught to work for everything you wanted not expect things given to you. Stealing was not an option! But IMHO these days these types of values are treated like major sins and crimes against humanity. Even when my mum became a single mother these values were still expected to be followed.

"You..... wear bifocals?".

"Uh huh".

He looked through what paperwork he had, but my file was still out and he was waiting on it.

"really....... bifocals?".

he was staring at me like i was an alien.

"Yeah, why?"

"Not many your age have bifocals".

"Really?  I'm 38, I know a lot of people with bifocals my age".

Stare....... "Oh...... I thought you were 20"

made my whole day.

I think maturity is something that should be judged by attitude and mental maturity, not physical maturity.

Some people mature mentally quicker than they do physically, and some have a problem ever maturing mentally.

The only age that really matters is that of one's mind - and it seems like most minds here are not even a day older than 20 years :-)
I had my 25th b-day on 23rd September, but when I have no worries I'm like a 6-yrs-old kid ;)

*Some people mature mentally quicker than they do physically, and some have a problem ever maturing mentally.

*So true!
I've seen many chronological 50-year-olds with a mental maturity of barely 16, and many chronological 20-something with a mental and emotional maturity may years beyond...

If one uses some sort of an average measuring scale for intelectual and emotional development...
(but now we're getting way more particular and philosophical then I intended in this thread)

Oh and while we're on the subject not all of the immature 20 something's have hard bodies, and not all mature 50 year olds are out of shape and old looking...  But, that's yet another potentially lengthy and serious digression to a playful thread....

Back to the playful stuff... Are Michael and David really gay ;)  Any chance they could be converted into a straight beefcake?  ;)  Something along the lines of Abercrombie and Fitch or chippedales pinup models? :P

I'm 18 today, acting that is...
