In my CR2 file... i need to run a command that would select the v4.2 .. loaded first in the same CR2.?
Is there a target command that would select the current v4.2?
Because the it would be simple to target the v4.2 in the line before running the PZ2 line..
Or am i out in some NO-NO-shame-on-you questions.. without me knowing about it?

Readscript is new ground for most Poser users. Most long time users can hack Posette's cr2 without even a second thought but V4's is far more complicated.
Your instructions tell D/S to load the morphs one after the other. This will probably work if you are using a custom morph that makes no external call to any of the other morphs you are loading and the channels the custom morph is to load to is not already occupied. If the character morph you are trying to load has external calls for any of the morphs ++ or muscle morphs, it's likely to fail because until D/S has completed reading all the instructions in the Cr2 and implementing them, the morphs the character needs aren't loaded. If you have Poser, you could load everything up and save the figure to the figures library. I know there is a morph to cr2 script for D/S but I'm not sure if it will work as you want it in this case.
Since most of us are still learning the ins and outs of V4's technology the same as you are.
The reason why this particular PZ2 only works properly when applied normally is going to be because of something (possibly trivial) that's in or not in the contents which might or might not be obvious from just looking at it.
Without being able to inspect the contents, I doubt anyone will figure out the problem.
I am no expert in readScript, I have rarely used it, so please forgive me if I talk a load of rubbish, but here are my thoughts.

It's true that the figure needs to be selected before a pose can be applied, but as your "v4.2++Muscle.CR2" is importing the "Victoria 4.2.cr2" into itself, the figure should already be selected. This seems to be proved by the fact that the other two pz2 files are working ok. As far as I know readScript has no special syntax other than what you are using in your cr2.
My first suspicion would be some typographic or syntax error, either in the readScript path for the "MYTOON.pz2", or within the "MYTOON.pz2" itself, or perhaps even one of the other pz2 files failing to load the required morph deltas. If it were me, the first thing I would do is some experiments.
Move "MYTOON.pz2" to some safe place. Make a pz2 file with only one dial setting, for example:

Name this file "MYTOON.pz2", and place it where the original "MYTOON.pz2" used to be. If this does NOT work to turn the head 45 degrees, edit the "v4.2++Muscle.CR2" to place the "MYTOON.pz2" as the second readScript call. Or, if it does work edit the new "MYTOON.pz2" to act on one targetGeom channel, preferably one that is native to V4, that is to say does NOT need the deltas to be injected (if such exists in V4). If that works edit the new "MYTOON.pz2" to set the dial value for just one of the channels in your original "MYTOON.pz2". I know my suggestion is a lot of work, but it may help to pinpoint exactly where the problem is. If you decide to try this, please report back as to exactly what you have tried, and exactly which experiment failed.

I tried the simple brilliant debugging method above sugessted by Lesbentley.
Why dident i think of that lol..keep it simple stupid... the KISS method.
Modifying mytoon.pz2 to only contain a 45 degree turn of the head.
It works :)
So i know now that its my mytoon.PZ2 file that contain something spooky.
mytoon.pz2 is made with a utility for D|S called "Daz poser format exporter"
i think its a scripting thing.
But mytoon.pz2 works perfect when i use it by selecting v4.2++Muscle character.
And then select "Import from the file menu" and click mytoon.pz2.
Or simply copying mytoon to the runtime/pose folder, and then double clicking its icon works fine too. But NOT when implementet in the above mentioned and modified version of v4.2.cr2.
But one thing is for certain. That "Daz poser format exporter" does something to the PZ2 file...
that readScript dosent understand.
But we know the readScript command works fine if adding a pz2 custom dialed pose, as argument.
How do i attack this.. the mytoon.pz2 is BIG... heh... 560 kb.
If i try to edit mytoon.pz2 in notepad, i looks like it contain binary data and script text mixed among each other..... starnge square boxes aso.... is that normal?
Try look at the attached picture..
If i only view it... it looks like normal scripting.

That's not really binary data, Notepad doesn't handle some linefeed/carriage return combinations properly, so use Wordpad or some other text editor.
Alternatively, you could just change the file extension to .DOC (or add that extension) and attach it to a post.
A vague memory tells me something about readscript and comment lines. Maybe those comment lines are the culprit?

You could try rebuilding the "MYTOON.PZ2" by a different method. First make sure the original "MYTOON.PZ2" is backed-up to a safe place. Apply "MYTOON.PZ2" to your figure from the pallet, or by import. Save a pose for your figure using the "Include morph channels in pose set?" option. Save it to RuntimelibrariesPoseJullaMYTOON.PZ2.
Before you go to the trouble of stripping the translations and rotations out of this file, test it by applying the v4.2++Muscle.cr2, to make sure it sets the morphs.
If it does set the morphs, download and install the free utility "Morph Manager 4" (MM4). Load your new pz2 in MM4 click the "More Options" button, select "Delete all channels from file", this will delete all channels except the morph (targetGeom) channels. Save the file back to disk.
You can get MM4 from:

Whilst you are there also get "CR2 Editor 1.51" by John Stallings it can be very useful for editing poser files. You might also like to get another free cr2 editor "CR2Builder" from:

And you should have a good text editor, EditPad Lite is quite good, and it's free. You can get it from:

Have you tried to put the readscript mytoon on the top like this :

It seems that Poser reads the file from the end to beginning so the morphs++ must be read before the dialed character

The simplist approach would be to remove a section of the file, then try to load, if it fails, the problem is in what's left, if it behaves, the problem is in what you removed (in which case you put back what you removed).
Keep repeating the process to narrow down the section in which the problem is.
Change the line "actor BODY" to "actor BODY:1" I have a sneaking feeling that that's the problem. The pose isn't pointing at any specific figure & poser can't decide whether you want it applied to V4 or to some other part of the scene so it's doing nothing with it.

Nope its not a case sensitivity problem.
When i ... suggested by you....replaced my original content in MYTOON.PZ2...with a simple 45 degree turn of the characters head.. it all worked perfect. Both my "v42++muscle.cr2" and "mytoon.pz2".
Both files did all the was told.

Nope only 1 Runtime.
But i considered having more, since i have +500-1000 things installed, and i cant find my stuff anymore since the content list is 1 mile long :)

Im a D|S 1.8.2.1 user :) so it might be called "Pose Preset" in D|S i think.
pose preset in D|S is a *.dsb file. *.dsb has binary content only.
But i can use my "Daz poser format exporter" utility to export it to a PZ2 file if thats what you mean?
I bought poser 6(for future rigging purposes) last week from this store, for 100 bucks including freight. http://store.purplus.net/poser6.html
But since the shop is in the US and im in northern europe, it will take 14 days to get it.
So it should arrive next week.

v4.2++Muscle.cr2 is working perfect, it always did. It load v4.2, apply base v4, apply ++ morphs
and aply muscle morphs. That part works perfect. And i can double click it as a icon in the content/daz people folder.

I got it all this far...
i downloaded the recommended utilities and tried loading the file into MM4
as Lesbentley suggested, and deleted all channels from option meny and saved it.
no difference.
deleted the comment lines from mytoon.pz2, like SVDL suggested.
no difference.
i even tried to put in a "pickActor Victoria 4.2" suggested by a guy at Daz forum..
no difference
i tried to simplify mytoon.pz2 too... by only making 1 change, resizing the nose.
no change......... same ole problem
BUT
I can apply mytoon.pz2 after the v4.2 CR2 file has executed. And all works fine.
but readScript comman refused to do it.
EXCEPT... if i replace the content of mytoon.pz2 with this code:

I am not sure if this helps but when make characters I make an INJ file that uses deltas as references, I put these in a separate folder from so I have all delta files together.In the INJ file I have the actor information first and then the readscript information last. It always works for me.

All the pose files I've looked at look like this:

the difference is just that :1 on the end of where it says actor, I'm almost certain that is what's causing the pz2 not to load, the bad news is there's an actor line for each body part that is effected by the pz2 so you'd have to go through the file & add :1 to the end of each line, the good news is it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes ;)

It depends on how much time I have and how lazy I am feeling on whether I use the Injection Pose builder or edit by hand in a text editor to make the injections once have the character set to how I want them.
I have DS but I hate the interface so I un-installed it, so I am not familiar with how it handles Poser files but it seems to me if the directory structures aren't that different then grabbing the tool package wouldn't be a bad idea. If you can maybe contact the vendor and ask if the package is suitable for use with DS.

It might make a difference but I don't have the numbers in my inj poses and I have seen other character injections that don't use it either.

So the pz2 to rotate the head works ok, even when applied via readScript, but a dial setting pose does not work via readScript, even when you are only setting one dial. I have got that right, yes? Forgive me for pressing this point, but it is very important to know that you have tried a pz2 that only sets one morph dial.
If I have my facts right above, THIS IS VERY STRANGE! The syntax to set a morph dial is exactly the same as the syntax to set a rotation dial. The only difference is the channel type "targetGeom" or "rotate?", and the actual name of the channel (eg "yrot" or "PBMCC01"). If the the "Poser Format Exporter" is introducing an error into the dial setting pose for the morph, then why is it not introducing the same error into the dial setting pose for the rotation??? The syntax is the same, so why not the same error?
I don't have DAZ Studio. Can it read native Poser formats like pz2, or do you need to use "Poser format exporter" to convert them first? Or is "Poser format exporter" only needed for files written by DS?
Will you please upload the pz2 file to set one morph dial, there may be some clue within it. Just rename it by adding a ".TXT" file extension to the end, eg "MYTOON.pz2.TXT" and attach it to your next post.

In my experience the colon and actor number (e.g. ":1") is not important in an actor line in a pz2, it can be the wrong number, or absent, Poser still handles the file ok. There can be places in some pz2's where the actor number is important, but as MYTOON.pz2 is just a dial setting pose it should not matter. Of course I am talking Poser here, DS may be diffrent.

**Adding a ":1" to each line in the PZ2 file that had the word ACTOR in it..
Made all the difference.
EditPadLite is GREAT.. i love it already.. so easy to work with.

They made the Daz "Poser format exporter" utility.... of which i used to make my PZ2
So i would think.. that it should add the ":1" to each actorline.
So that the enduser wouldent have to do it manually...
Or am i wrong?

This is about getting the READSCRIPT command in a CR2 file, to import/apply/load
a PZ2 file containing a custom dialed character. I created the PZ2 file with "Poser format exporter".
I downloaded the CR2 from AprilYSH refered to in this thread

And i modified it to load the V4 Muscle morphs too.
Atm. the v4.2++Muscle.CR2 file content looks like this:

The first 3 READSCRIPT works perfect.
It loads v4.2, apply the ++morphs and the muscle morphs.
All by clicking the new V4.2++Muscle.CR2 file icon in Figures "DAZ People".
Very nice.
But the 4th READSCRIPT line above refuse to execute. And i cant figure out why.
What i want it to do at this point is:
Import/apply/load the MYTOON.PZ2 file containing a custom dialed character.
I created the PZ2 file with "Poser format exporter". Its simply a custom dialed character.
Nothing with mats.
If i IMPORT the MYTOON.PZ2, While targeting the v4.2(with ++ and muscle), manually in D|S it works fine. But i would like the CR2 file READSCRIPT to do it for me.
So...........
Do READSCRIPT have a Import syntax?
Which actually targets the loaded and ready V4.2, and apply a PZ2 custom dial?
I tried this even with MYTOON.PZ" in the correct location... But it wont work..
I think it MIGHT be related to the fact... That the V4.2 isent targeted/Selected
when the MYTOON.PZ2 pose is applied..... im not sure though...
But it would be nice if the CR2 could manage it all.
Who would know if and how to get this to work?
