Helgard has a free python script at VP, Phil C has a commerical one at his site, both allow you to explode a mesh in various ways.Powerage has a range of exploding buildings.
Or you could try using Foresters water splahses and using them as "particles" of dirt.
All of these do miss one thing though - the dust cloud or the middle explosion bit - for that you need to postwork it. I find Particle Illusion for that as shown in the image (given in the link above) is the best way.

Anthony and Helgard, check Detonation films. Great stock fx clips already in avi format. The mirror download is much faster. (Also check out their tutorials sectioon.)
VP is Vanishing Point, another website that sells models and stuff.
Muralist, I have all the clips from Detonation Films, and I also boaght loads of clips from Artbeats. The Artbeats clips are much higher quality, but they are not free. I will put up the video sometime when I finish it of the depth charge explosions animations I have made.
