Have you try to import via Daz Studio button the box?

You know? I'm not really getting a handle on what your problem is. If you import something into Bryce you can re-size it in Bryce. If at the time you import, your object is the wrong size, what is your problem?

From your picture I can see that there are differences, but by using the attributes grid [A] this is easily corrected in Bryce.

ok, i think i get the problem, the cube of 20x20x20 has different boundaries then the 20x20x20 cilinder, while you would expect the edges to meet, since.. they're the same width.. thats strange indeed.
If you size 2 primitives the same size, you'd expect them to have the same size, i totally agree.
However.. the default bryce cube isnt 20x20x20, it is actually 20.48 x 20.48 x 20.48... might not look significant to add the decimals but it is :) maybe thats the prob?
try makin the cube it 20.48x20.48x20.48.. does that solve it?

dryet,
I think I might have a solution to your problem...
Try this...
You will see that the DAZ Cube has changed.
Go ahead and try it... I'll post the screen cap in a bit.

it's still visibly smaller there.

You got to try it in person. Don't rely on the screen cap as I am not so good with placements. I just wanted to show it could be possible.

I was going to before I posted, but I've never used DAZ Studio and when I clicked the 'S' thing, I got the rainbow spinning beachball of death, so I gave up.

One other idea: you could go to wings3d, make a cube and a cylinder in there... and then do whatever it is you want to with them after importing them to Bryce.

Just spotted this!
dyret, the good news is understand exactly what your problem is, the bad news is that I'm not sure it's fixable. I've never bothered with it before because I generally just import everything into Bryce for rendering so I've never needed to match the scaling to Bryce primitives.
I'll try to find a solution.
EDIT: Great to see you playing with Pro-Render ;-)

Why not import both a box and a cylinder?
What do you need them for anyway? - there might be another way to get what you want and simply bypass the box and cylinder altogether.

Well, I gave it a bash last night but I'm sorry to say I can't import a cube without it gaining that buffer space 'round it, sorry mate. I can't even imagine why it's set up like that in the first place, it goes against the ability to line-up stuff on the grid, and Bryce is generally well set up for that sort of thing.

Pumeco tells me that I can't use the bryce box with the prorender system. So I tried to import the daz studio one. That doesnt fit the bryce primitives. Any tips?
