Import V4 into Blender then import each clothing mesh individually for existing clothing.
Alternatively you can export a clothed model from D|S quite easily by clothing V4 and exporting the visible nodes as an .obj file.
If you choose to use the second method I recommend turning off any V4 nodes that are completely covered by the clothes to reduce the poly count of the exported object.
One difficulty you will incur on importing D|S and Poser figures into Blender is the 16 material limit per object mesh in Blender. You can circumvent this by importing the mesh using the import by materials option. This breaks the mesh into separate objects according to material group. Then you can join the separate groups according to UV map and consolidate the materials according to UV map also. It's a hassle but only has to be done once if you re-rig for Blender and save the resulting file.
My tutorial linked to in the resource sticky in this forum covers the basics of clothing creation in Blender for use in Poser and D|S.
It's not a "How to do everything clothing related tutorial". The focus is on introducing the Blender tools and work flow through creating a simple t-shirt. The techniques used are much the same for any clothing item.
Though it is a basic tutorial the information should provide a good basis that you can further refine to your particular projects.

I followed the steps you mentioned, and yes Victoria is nice and smooth,and imports with cloths as you outlined in the first part of your reply but as you can see from the attached image i seem to be getting mixed results.
The eyes as you notice ,one is white the other has got the v4 cloths texture purple applied to it?
Just dont seem to be able to get the eyes imported and eye lashes are just black areas.
I used a three point lighting setup.
Also i suppose i shall have to re-rigg her in order to animate?

The eyes are easy enough to fix.
Go into the materials tab, in the texture slot replace the map with the correct one.
Blender may have dropped the some materials so you may have to create new materials to make this work. Remember that Blender has a 16 material limit per object so if you import an object with more than 16 material zones something is going to be clipped.
You have to manually adjust the alpha for any transmapped areas like the eyelashes.
Yes, you will have to rig for animation in Blender. I would use the Collada importer to bring the V4 armature into Blender to simplify the process.:biggrin:
The collada importer script available at the following link works but you will have to do a little tweaking before binding the mesh to the skeleton.

Hi,
Is there any way to import Victoria 4.2 into Blender 2.48a with cloths.?..
The mesh model imports just fine, but without cloths.
If thats not possible how do i go about some cloths for her?
I have not seen any tutorials on cloths for Blender as yet.
I want to do the same for "Apollo Maximus"
