If the model is already made, you can edit the CR2. For each joint that
needs to be "mechanical", find the actor in the CR2 and replace bend 1
by bend 0.

Does anyone know if joint parameters can be turned off?
For example, on the organic figures (e.g. DAZ humans) when the Forearm is bent, there is 'overspill' of movement into the Shoulder, which gives very fluid/organic movement.
However, I'm trying to create a mechanical, robotic arm in which I just need the forearm to rotate around its pivot point without it affecting the rest of the model. I've tried adjusting the joint parameters but without much success.
Any info/assistance would be welcomed.
