Subject: Cow Udder.....

shante ( ) posted Mon, 31 May 2010 at 2:50 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 3:46 PM

Hi All!

Happy memorial Day weekend. Hope you are all having a great one.

I have to ask for this since I do not know how to model myself so I hope it doesn't sound too weird or offend anyone.

I have an old friend that is going in for some breasttttssss augmentation. We have been friends for along time (Yeah guys and girls can be JUST friends!). I have been teasing her about it for a while since she confided in me and now that she has decided I want to be supportive. But , being the way I am and based on our friendship, I can not step out of character even in my support for her so I gotta bust her girlie chops a bit.

So I want to make a quick and dirty congratulatory/encouraging card with an image to look like a clinical illustration on the front...sort alike a before and after Avatar of her and/or geometric design with lines construct schematic etc. over the realistic avatar and on the inside do another realistic avatar render of her on all fours with a cow udder warning her not to go too far.

I could do the painting over a regular generic 3d render but I am currently a primary care giver for my sick mom and just can't sit and do too much creative work (can't focus for too long when real world duties demand my full attention) so this has to be a quick and easy creative piece.

I was hoping someone here either can lead me to a cow udder I can use for this or....someone has a penchant for the obsurd (or obscene!) and create from scratch a nice posable udder with adjustable teats (preferably so I can have fun with this) though I am desperate and thankful enough to just find a regular generic obj non articulate version. needs to be uv mapped so I can re-texture it though.

Any crazies out there willing to take on this task!?

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Mon, 31 May 2010 at 2:59 PM

Hm and I'm sitting here contemplating a semi-dynamic udder. But IIRC you're using Poser 4, right? So dynamics are out.

Hm. How posable must the teats be and should it be made to fit on any specific character? (this is such a wonderfully bizarre request.. Sounds like a fun thing to do!)

Hey T-Grrrrl!
Having fun today!?

You know you can always count on me for these bizarro requests.
No dynamic figure so I can use it anywhere and on anyone as needed.
I am basically workking with V2 figures and yes STILL! in Poser 4 Hell.
Teats would be nice to enlarge and reduce individually or in pairs and to swing depend on how figure/udder is moving. My Bizarro mind sees poses for weight and side to side as well as back and forth swings. an enlargement morph and poseable and scalable teats would be super in case i just need to get carried away and really push my dear friend over the edge!
I have a neighbor that is just getting into animation and she was over here for coffee last week and I told her about this and she was screaming wanting to animate the girl crawling and the udder as well as teats (no breasts at all) would swing back and forth accordingly. Obviously this is something I can't post here (actually wondering if this request might not also put me in violation here I no longer know where the lines are drawn in this community anymore!  :(
I had to cool her engines a bit reminding her I did not have it yet and did not know if I ever would soooooooooo......

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Mon, 31 May 2010 at 9:01 PM

Hm I think it should be a character then with the teats as body parts. I'll get on to it tomorrow, I promise! I need to sleep now, but it's not forgotten! I'll see what I can model. No promises made except that I'll try, mind ytou! Perhaps I can't even model the thing... but I'll give it a try!

Trekkie, you are udderly perverse - bless you! I know you will be up to the challenge. I wish I could find the cartoon I saw of two bulls in a topless bar watching a cow dance where one says to the other, 'You know they're not real don't you?" Hmmm, maybe pasties with poseable tassels.

Shante, sorry to hear about your mom. Been there and it can be a physically and emotionally draining experience. I hope things go well for you.

Thanks. Terminal always sucks especially when she knows the approximate date (according to the stupid oncologist) and every morning goes to the calendar to check off another day. Even though all the other doctors i spoke to said there is really no way of knowing when her expiration date arrives, she  only remembers what that first doctor told her and is also worrying herself closer to the grave. Bad enough she had to deal with the illness physically and emotionally now she also has to deal with the other stress of counting down those days. Would have been better for everyone if the stooge had just said what all the other doctors told her: "There is really no way of knowing, it could be a few weeks it could be a few months or even a few years."
This form of cancer is too unknown and untreatable.
It does hurt seeing someone you love fade away day by day. What makes matters worse is when their minds are still lucid and sharp. It makes the suffering of everyone involved that much worse.

I'm really sorry to hear that. The other docs are right of course. Too bad being an ass isn't grounds for malpractice. Hopefully she will make it past "the date" long enough to realize that this idiot isn't God though he seems to have the delusion. I wish I could offer some advice other than to point out to her the many examples of people who have gone on beyond - sometimes long beyond some mortal's prediction. Take care of yourself. I'm glad that your art gives you some breathing space..

Poo what an arse doc. My mom's waiting for the verdict from the oncologists as well, we're due there in a week to hear whether it's treatable or not. So I feel for you. I'm trying as best I can to push the thought away from my mind. Worrying doesn't help anyway, but it's hard not to.

Anyway the udder is coming along sorta nicely I guess. Modeling pretty much done but I still need to make it posable.

Also you never said if you wanted it up where a woman's breasts are, or down where a cow's udder should be... but I decided to put it up where the breasts belonged ;)

Good luck with your mom. You are right no point worrying before things truly come to be...you will need all the energy you both can muster if and when it all comes together. My best to you both.

Hard to tell really rendered from the front. I imagined it as something that could be used in either place really though it was always an image of the figure on knees and hands in profile with the udder in place where a cow would have it. That way you get a feel for the weight of it pulling down when milk laden thus the "weight" morphs (think stretch marks when full). Also, I have a toon cow and this udder would also work double service for that especially if morphable.

Rather crappy pose and I'm not sure why there's this colour difference, both V2 and the udder is textured only with the VSS shader tinted pink, so they ought to be of the same colour, yet they're not. I wonder if it's something about the mapping, the udder is not yet UVMapped.

Anyway here's a pic of it hanging down (mostly)

Let me know if it's something I should finish or it's too bad looking :)

If you have my old heavies barnyard set, there was a smartprop udder in there.. maybe you could use that?

What's not right? Udders on humans?! Well, it's called Hentai and I have always been into the mix of human and animal, furries, beasties and other morphologies of the human body.
It floats my fantasy boat and is harmless to the 100th degeree.
The friend the card os for is an adult and hedonistic and fantastical herself so this will be greatly appreciated by her on the humorous level.
If I find artists here capable and willing to help me realize this image....So what's not right about it?

Hey Garree!
I checked the items there at DAZ but there was no image of the udder for your toon cow. Got any images of it?

Really pisses me off...I got Lynn's Bovine set before she went out of business and I was sure there was an udder along with other bovine parts in the package but when I went back to the original CD I can't find it.  :(

Don't misunderstand me, shante.  I mentioned it in a humorous way.  I was a big fan of Hentai also.

There's always Miss Multiplicity - based on the open source Z-Woman. And not to stray from the subject but I happened to look at her in wireframe and I found that what the heck? Z-Woman has a uterus and other associated accessories.

What's not right about it, is that cows shouldn't have to carry such big udders. All animals should be treated with respect, and not as production units.

Sorry for getting OT. But this was the first thought that came into my mind when I saw the cow with the big udder...

Have fun with your project though.

Thanks. It will only depend on trekkiegrrrl now and iif she can get this done!

As far as the over-large udders....you are right. In looking for reference pics I came across a few sights for the prevention of the cruelty to animals and it seems man as usual has forgotten we were supposedly put here to govern and act as fair and just custodians of God's house. When a cow is made to be perpetually lactating (unnatural of course) and you do not milk her regularly that udder enlarges and hurts like the dickens (I guess).

But man is too damn busy to care. i love steak and all meats but it seems we should be able to get our food stuff from the animals while still treating them with a modicum of respect and care.

" Where's this Miss Multiplicity? Never heard of that one before O.o Is it posable?!

The uterus? - Just kidding. I didn't install her, just capped a render of the .obj. The figure is almost certainly poseable, though I doubt there are many/any morphs for the breasts. The main drawback is that according to the docs, the mods changed the Z-Woman UV map so she has no texture. You'll have to create one, go procedural or make up a snazzy little cowhide number.

I just saw something about another undercover video of cows being beaten and abused on a dairy farm. You have this image of those places as being idyllic, with contented cows peacefully grazing in the sun - sadly not true in too many cases.

Dale B ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2010 at 5:01 AM

Yep, just basic skeleton posing, pretty much no morphs whatsoever. Which would be something a suitably intriqued person might want to consider, and set up the character cr2 for morph injection (although talk about ERC madness....how many linked morphs would it take per breast to allow the torso to flex and bend more or less properly without breaking the mesh? Never mind deforming the breasts properly for the motion).....

shante ( ) posted Sun, 06 June 2010 at 3:55 PM

And I really gotta be able to use a regular texture. Why were the uv's changed to not work with textures?

lmckenzie ( ) posted Mon, 07 June 2010 at 2:01 AM

From the docs:

"There is no body texture supplied. The new geometry has a new UV map. This broke the texture that was supplied with Z-Woman and I haven’t gotten around to making a new one yet.":

That was 2005 - maybe he's made one but I think the file at the link is still the same one I have (v 2.1) so I tend to doubt it. There is an eye texture ans lash transmap but there are no separate lip or nail zones for instance, all of that is assigned to the skin map.

Also, after a very quick check, I think it might be hell trying to pose her in the position you want anyway. It was an idea, but for what you want, you're probably better off with Trekkie's udder. Either that or just go with one of the many humongous hooter packages like the Ultimate Breast packs here in freestuff. It's the thought that counts :-)

The Udder was the thought. This figure was just a curiosity and I really didn't think of using it for this specific project. It looks as if I am going to have to work something else out for this....Trekkiegrrrrl hasn't chimed in for a while so it mat be she wasn't up to doing this afterall. No prob.
