I agree! Or does that mean we will have to look at that darn right hand column laid over all the images bigger than 800 pixels wide? It used to work to scroll over to see the full image when it was larger but that has not been right for a couple of weeks! Please fix this!

Fractals will always amaze me!
I also would like to see the option to view images full size back. This was the one feature that I really enjoyed since I try to view as many artists as I can at the full view most of them recommend right away.
Viewing more than a few images here has always seemed a bit tedious to me having seen more navigation features or slideshow options available on some other sites I frequent, not to mention larger file size’s allowed to be posted by artists.

see att. lnk.; aran &/or kai may be able to advise usrs on these. is also script to ignore usrs here: [ http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2831176](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2831176)Quote - And still they don't respond.
If you understood why* they changed it in the first place, you'd understand why they not going to bring it back.
The only current solution is a GreaseMonkey (or equivalent) script.
*The HTML structure/sizing was wrong before, and the redesign didn't improve things, it made it worse.
If you understood why they changed it in the first place*
How would I understand it if nobody has bothered to explain it???
Fact is, as others have said, we had it before, we don't now, WHY? Small question, all it needs is a response from someone who knows, i.e. Site Admin....
No disrespect nruddock but last time I looked you weren't on that list of site admins....

Unfortunately it wasn't what was needed or wanted.

Correct, but irrelevant.

And you've been nearly as long as I have, so you must recognise the pattern here, that demanding the admins explain themselves on a technical issue that they didn't understand before "fixing" it, just isn't going to have a happy ending, no matter how much you or I explain, complain, or fill in survey answers about issue.
I do hope they say something, because it should be assuming, but will be unfulfilling.

Alas, the cure is a LOT worse than the problem!
At the very least give me the option to DECIDE which is the lesser evil for me (the simplest way is to temporarily give back access to the old code/formatting that worked fine, until the new design is properly fixed).
Yea, we knew that already Stacey, but thanks for showing us all how thick we've been...
The question was, Why is it not selectable anymore? Can you not share the reasoning with us mere mortals??
Of course we would like it back, there are only a few here asking for it, but I've seen many posts by artists saying it's their last image because of this seemingly small issue, surely an explanation isn't too much to ask for..!!

Quote - You can view the image at full size by clicking the "zoom in" so at this time we have no plans to put options back in. I'm not saying that will never happen but for now, you can still view the image as intended by clicking zoom in
Thanks
Stacey
Thanks for the reply.
However, for viewing many images, having to constantly zoom simply makes the site unusable.
Perhaps for you there is no big difference, but as you can see in this thread, for many people (myself included) this is absolutely critical.
Quote - If it's a bandwidth thing ...
It's not a bandwidth thing, it's an HTML layout thing. The old layout mostly worked, but full size pictures made the fixed sized background image look wrong, then they changed something and the righthand bar appeared over the top of full sized pictures, then they released the latest design and full sized pictures broke the layout even worse.
Quote - I dont mind the current setup because for me it IS a bandwidth issue. On dialup with a fairly low transfer rate because of line quality I dont want any image sent if it isnt critical. Personally I like the feature on other sites where requesting a full size image opens it in a new window.
The way things were setup, was pretty much ideal in that every choice was catered for (both from the artist's and viewer's point of view).
And the ability to choose is always welcomed, so it's not surprising that people aren't best pleased when the lowest common denominator is imposed.

The website, I assume, is subject to bandwidth pricing tiers. I remember youtube had a campaign to try to get people to use lower quality settings for a short while ...
I do get the html thing, though, but if their cost is an issue they may have little incentive to do anything about it (that's my point).

... without having to individually zoom in for each image :(
worked fine until yesterday or so... or anyhow until the new interface broke it. and the option to always display the image properly is now gone from the options page.
