Yes I am aware of that, Just gotta get with the techs when they have a minute.

Thanks WC

I was just looking in the galleries (just clicked on what's new) and I noticed something.  All the lower case y's look like v's.  So I started paying more attention and the bottom parts of all the lower case letters in title of the artwork were getting chopped off.

Here is a real issue that can hurt sales for vendors! FB/Comments... you can't read them here on the pages! The colors are not contrasting enough to show up. See SS. Ariana

Hey Stacey??? While you are at it, I have not gotten bots on my forum posts/site mails or gallery comments in weeks! I have to come in and check manually on all 3. I can't find a way to correct this on my side. Could you let Tech know about this too???

Come to think on it, I do not recall Monthly letters or sales notices either! I am getting Bundle notices tho and Wishlist notices just fine.

Welcome back BTW!

I think Blake was checking on this for you and everything seems to go out fine to you from our end. Do you have rendo email addresses as valid contacts in your email client and have you checked all your junk/spam folders to make sure they are not in there? They seem to be fine going out and other gmail account holders haven't had this issue that we are aware of.

StaceyG ( ) posted Mon, 15 August 2011 at 2:22 PM

Look now Ariana, see if that is better

LOL wow fixed it and didn't even know it was broken heehee.. I think the techs were working on something else for a minute that might have affected those

FutureFantasyDesign ( ) posted Tue, 16 August 2011 at 2:28 PM · edited Tue, 16 August 2011 at 2:29 PM

Definitely Improved on the FB/Comments! At least they show up. White may not be the best color, but it beats blue/black on the RO shade of blue! Maybe you might consider the lighter shade of blue like here in this thread, with white lettering? The pics show up fairly well and the posts show up good as well too!

My bot problem is solved turns out it was a G-Mail glitch.

ThanX for the help on both. Big ThanX to Blake for the follow up too!!! :)

Well I found out since it's a third party type app (facebook) we only have the white like it is now or the dark like it was...so at least with what it is now you can see it so I think we will have to leave it as is

Oh and glad you figured out the gmail problem:)

bonestructure ( ) posted Thu, 18 August 2011 at 10:20 AM

Haven't had any problems. Don't much like the colors but heck, that's a minor quibble, and I'm sure you guys probably still have the options for the user to change the colors if it really bugs me. I'm not crazy about the drop down menus either, but since I can't suggest a better way of doing them, why complain.

this is MY display problem, unlike Flint's - to whom you said Flint's font was set too large... is mine set too large too? and how do I fix this?

this is in ANY gallery, any and all pages.

thanks

nruddock ( ) posted Fri, 26 August 2011 at 6:19 PM

The fix is to adjust your stylesheet to include :-

body { line-height: 20px; }

The exact value you need is 4px larger than the font size you've used (unless you've also altered the top or bottom padding, in which case add the sum of the new values for those).

If you've set the font size in other units (e.g. points) then you'll have to adjust until the lines look right as there's no way to mix units.

If the line-height is set in other styles you may have to also adjust those if not everything is correct.

Just had an odd one, I was trying to replace an image in the edit function. Uploaded the new file, and saved the changes. The gallery thumbnail was good after a refresh, the reduced size displayed corrrectly but every time I tried ot open the full size it went back to the old image. I went back into edit and it was showing the old image in that page again even while diplaying the correct thumb aqnd reduced size. Actually had to delete the whole thing and upload as new for it to finally work.

Anyone else seen this?

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

I was just checking out D3D's poser file editor and in the description, comments, etc tabs I got this error:

ERROR: Invalid request: 37225

I've seen this in a few other products as well with the number being the same as the store ID number of the product.

It's only the item number that matters, the text in the path segment after "bcs" and before the number can be anything and you'll still get the right page, e.g. -> http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/anythingcangohere/88719

Ariana,

The older events go under the "Older Events" button. Right now there is not a "hide or remove".. We are still enhancing this feature so hopefully something like that is coming:)

Are you serious??? Should not the whole "system" have been completed before it was implimented??? Not to mention the wasted space these things are taking up? Thousands of little notices that are just sitting around. Just seems like the IT folk should have had the whole styem developed before even starting and then letting it just hang there.

I built a kitchen once, didn't see the contractor for 6 months...

Add/Remove/Delete should have been the first function installed before the switch.

StaceyG ( ) posted Wed, 21 September 2011 at 1:53 PM

This notifications system works as intended. The notifications that stay under "older events" is supposed to stay just like that. As I stated we MAY put a hide/remove option there in the future.  It was completed for the gallery as intended. When I said it was still being "enhanced" I was mainly referring to other pieces that would involve seeing notifications for other areas of the site besides just gallery as well as possibly adding other things like a hide/remove if we feel it becomes necessary but it is "completed" the way it's designed to work Ariana.

When you have new events (the little color burst notifications is there showing you have new events since you last checked) and you click to go to that notifications page then you will ONLY see the events that occured since the last time you had any new events, all the rest are not shown, they are under that "Older Event" button so you don't have to see them unless you choose to click on that older event button. If you go back to that page without any NEW events then it will show the last 10 events that occurred for you and if you want to see more than the last 10 then click the older events button and it will show you even older ones and that is how it's designed to work.

FutureFantasyDesign ( ) posted Wed, 21 September 2011 at 7:36 PM

Hi Stacey,

What I am getting at is the enormous waste of bandwidth these possibly millions of little notices end up taking because they are just there. Doesn't Ro have a limit of "junk" it wants to have on site like this stuff? I mean I actually removed all of my fav gallery notices to stop this mess. So now all that is there is junk that is stuck.

Please allow us to have a delete option. I mean after all, that is what we could do with the e-mails. I hate clutter.

StaceyG ( ) posted Wed, 21 September 2011 at 8:24 PM

I'm confused cause you don't see any "clutter" unless you choose to click on the older events button. The most "clutter" you will ever see without clicking for older is 10 notifications..

I mean I tend to agree with wanting to have a hide/remove button at some point and hopefully once we get all the pieces in place for all the notification areas then we can look into things like that more:)

FutureFantasyDesign ( ) posted Wed, 21 September 2011 at 11:43 PM

That sounds fair. It just is weird having that stuff! I rarely use notices, I tend to skim through my favs on my own. So notices are more like nuisances! LOL!

I've sent an email to the techs to look into both issues. I'm showing I haven't gotten any of the new ones in 2 days either Autumn so something definitely is not right.

I'll let you all know when I hear back but it might be Monday since it's the weekend and not sure if they will have a chance to research this until then.

Thanks for the head's up
