Ok so when i start the draping it begins to rotate my figure. Now i beleave in the scene before i had the sheet parented to my figures waist. Could that be the problem? If so how do i un parrent it to her waist? If not that what am i doing wrong lol

Go to set parent and parent the stuff to Universe or where ever you want to parent.

To avoid mess with the camera during simulation simply uncheck

"Animating" in your tab. In this case you can turn the camera, it will not affect the simulation.

When you want to repeat the simulation, because you change something

This could help :)

At the bottom "Clear simulation"

Still no luck. I even deleated the sheet and created a new one. but when i place it over the V4 and set my sim up, once the sim begins V4 startes to rotate while the sheet falls towards her. What am i doing wrong here =-(

Is the sheet parented? You need to make a constrained group.

Take a look at this dress, it is parented to Antonia's chest and the small red line is the constrained group I made to hold this dress on her.

What is important to,avoid to turn V4 AFTER your final simulation pose.

Turn the camera with Animation OFF when you check for details.

Im doing all of this its just not working. I even deleatedthe sheet and made a new one. Im going to go deleate it again and try one last time here!

TheAnimaGemini ( ) posted Fri, 16 December 2011 at 11:46 AM · edited Fri, 16 December 2011 at 11:46 AM

Try step by step

Load V4, Put your slider to a frame ( example15 ) Load the sheet, Parent the sheet to her waist ( or whatever)

Pose her, go to the cloth room

Now put the upper line ( like you see on my example) as contrained group,

Set up your simulation setting values

Don't forget, Colide against V4 and REMOVE center of mass , now calculate simulation.

There is no reason why it should not work...:(

Could you please post some images with your scene and settings? Maybe this way we can find out what you did wrong :)

When you are in the cloth room. You have to choose against what the sheet has to colide.

There you can add V4 and remove everything what is not needed.

La vie est éternelle. L'amour est immortel.

Yup i do that!

meltz ( ) posted Fri, 16 December 2011 at 12:10 PM

How do i clear my frames, maybe thats why shes rotating. Cause when i move the frames it shows her rotating =-( I dont want any anamation, just her laying there and having the cloth fall onto her =-(

I would suggest you to make a new scene. Save the pose you did for her, make a new scene, load V4, the sheet and put your slider to the frame 20. Now put her in pose and go to the cloth room. :)

When you want to delete frames, click on the key from your animation slider

You got this pop up.

La vie est éternelle. L'amour est immortel.
