Quote - Here is the final render. The fur never did get white so I went with it in the post work.
It is my wish that you all have a Merry and Safe Holiday this year in what ever you celebreate.
Never mind the pressies, I'll have Santa Baby :) Nice Kim!
[quote bobvan]What maretrial did you wind up setting it to? You are well versed with PS.
If your question is directed at me I'm not quite sure I understand what you are asking. As for post work I found a great plugin for photoshop called Topaz. It has about 12 different mini applications you can use. I think I used three different one on this image to give it that vintage feel.
Thank you Charley, RFreise, and Doc.
Oh Doc, I heard from her she is waiting for you, you'd better hurry before she freezes.
A few pages back there was a discussion on whether to use weekly builds of LuxRender. It was advised not to, as the results may not be what is expected.
Here is a simple example. This render is from the current official 1.1 release.
Same scene, rendered using the latest weekly build.
One can see that the sky is slightly darker in the weekly build render. Therefore, try it at your own risk :)

I am wondering if you adapted any material for the fur

Yesterday I had three crowns made, which required 6 hours on the dentist chair. At the eme of the day I was too wiped out to write code so I wrote that piece.
I'm impressed that nobody needed to ask what a xenomorph is :)
I'll bet Sigourney didn't had to ask either ;)
Eating a Xenomorph is childs play, dealing with Sigourney is quite another matter :) Waiting to see Prometheus.
complete evil biatch in prometheus.. and on a side side note.. way back in the late 80's.. i dated a nurse anesthesiologist that was her doppleganger.. might have been why i was attracted to her in the first place

No, just what came with the set. I didn't have to remove the defuse material it was much darker. But I didn't add anything new.

Just a simple portrait, hope you like..
Glad to see you have your mojo back :)
Quote - Here a quicky.. 3 hour render. Nothing special, just another portrait.
Oh, I like the grainy look! Very nice eyes and love her subtle smile :)

This is lovely!
Bob, 1.1 is the current version. If the team releases a new version it will have a new version number. 1.2 for example.
That is the reason why we have version numbers in software, so that we can tell which version we are using. If the devs were to add new features and still call it 1.1 then there would be confusion. Some people would be claiming that 1.1 has the refine brush while others, who donwloaded version 1.1 before, would be claiming that that feature is not present.
Hope this explains .

Playing around a little bit with texture. Removed bump maps and replaced with normal maps. Since I use them with clothing textures, I feel as though I've gotten good enough controlling the intensity of normal maps that they work better for the effects I want. In this shot, the intensity was set to 23% with a bit of a boost to fine detail. With the lips I turned the intensity up to 33%, pulled out some of the fine detail and added a bit of medium detail and lowered the base level. Gives her a bit more line definition with her lips. Overall I like the results.
The weekly update for Reality 3 is available:
Cheers.

Perhaps, but it's a cool concept. I like it!

It is a cool concept and even gave me an idea.

Nice update Paolo, can't wait to try it out, need a reason to actually use poser lately, this will be it.
I'm curious and I know it's probably to early to tell, but will all the new features for reality in poser be able to be implemented with DS afterwards, or will there be app specific things that won't transfer?
Regards, Michael

Actually I am relying on it less & less its just for the odd render where minor sticks around.. Edit I no longer use it to adjust colors and such learned to work with film ersponse instead

Nice work, but I have to ask, why use a hair model that is obviously poor quality (none smooth, blocky strands) when there are so many better models avaliable. I just feel it takes away from the great things you are trying to do.

It's not too early at all, I mentioned this back in August when R34P was first annoucned. All the features will be there. Of course ther will be differences in the way materials are converted. Studio's materials are often not quite as elaborate as the Poser ones, since Poser mats make full use of procedural nodes and such. While Studio has gained a similar system in the past two years or so, almost no vendor is using it. On the other hand Poser's node system is well established and it's used by many vendors.
As a result I noticed that a few material packages return nicer results when converted from Poser into Reality than from Studio to Reality. Pretty funny isn't it? On the other hand you will have all the power to edit the materials in Reality and take advantage of all the procedural textures that will be available.
I have to say that I am quite impressed with where Smith Micro is going with Poser.
Cheers.

I was tired of letting it render. Was stupid and set it at 3840x2160
What max resolution do you all use?
I was inspired the other night after watching a pirate show, LOL.
Genesis in DS4.5, combination of clothing parts and most props mine.

Thank you FSMCDesigns and Bobvan :)
I really like your image FSMCDesigns, love the texture on the boots.
That's cool Bobvan, I've never played with face gen, I had a friend ask me to do a render with his face but didn't know how to make that happen. I just don't understand that program.
Trying to figure out how to use Poser and feel totally stupid. I hate not knowing how move around the UI.
