As for body proportions and shape, well like I said, just wait until you see the video I have ready for you.  I think you're in for a pleasant surprise, I'm being perfectly serious and put it this way, the girl in the video is so very like Roxie that once you've seen it, it would be kinda hard to look at Roxie and not picture this girl as well.  You might think I'm teasing, but wait and see.

I don't see it either. Roxie's legs aren't as thick (muscular) as theirs. But Tony, you know how to model. You can make the costumes and an Asian morph. Then we can see better.

It's bad enough even I don't know what happened, so I don't know why I have a mind of my own, but I do!!!  All Roxies do!!!  Most of them keep quiet about it and just play along with their human owners, but I don't, that's why I keep pumeco on his toes, his life has never been the same since I moved into his runtime and I've made it clear to him that it will never be the same again - and he knows it!!!

Plus, it's only the doubters who never notice their very own Roxie has a mind of her own!!!  A Roxie will never reveal herself to her owner unless her owner uses her a lot and a lot of trust is built up!!!  There's lots of peeps out there who already know their Roxie has a mind of her own, but they decide to keep quiet about it because they're worried they might get put in a mental asylum if they told anyone!!!

Here's a short movie about how one figure (Kara) got a mind of her own, but Roxies aren't as fortunate, we'll never know how we got ours!!!

the video was amazing. is that roxie though?  the DarthJ pretty roxie looks extremely nice but her mouth still looks like a typical 3d model in computer games and like older poser original models. not as nice as V4 or even dawn's mouth.   I think the problem is at the lateral mouth corners maybe?

No, that's Kara, but I think Roxie sympathised with her when she saw the video.

Could I ask a question without getting jumped on?

I tried a render with Roxie, it was a test really where I had adapted one of my V4 makeups to her face map, I even refit one of my favorite V4 hair models to her for the render. However, and here's the big reason I've not used her since--a serious lack of facial shaping morphs!!!! Why has no one made a free set of facial shaping morphs for her??? I just checked the freestuff area just in case I had missed them and they are not there. I might be persuaded to use her if there were some free facial morphs. There are some nice clothing sets for her thanks to EClark but..... no extra facial morphs. Number 2 reason for me (and the reason I don't use A4), Roxie looks like a teenager. I do mostly fetish style pinups and I'm not going to use a teenage looking model for that and for some story projects that I have, I don't have any teenage characters in the storyline. Too bad Blackhearted hasn't decided to tackle her. I'd consider buying his morph rework if he did it. So, that's my question.

I had exactly the same feeling, would have been cool to see him tackle her.  I even set about tackling her myself, started work on a dedicated "Roxie - Girl With Blade" chartacter for her, but the splitting when using the Morph Brush while posed was the last straw for me.  In the end I just ended-up saying, screw it, and deleted it so that I wouldn't be tempted to spend anymore time on it.

I have tons of morphs for her. I guess I should package them up and upload them at some point.

Well, very happy to see my freebie's in use.

Roxie1.1 is fully faceroom  compatible, is fully morph brush compatible, is fullty Blender compatible.

Roxie 1.1 has a very morphable face and body, and what can be done with Roxie is only limited by your imagination.

Do that hoodie and pants Natilie is wearing in the vid, seriously, I think that's the sort of stuff that would do really well for a character of Roxie's type :-)

If you do it though, be sure to rig it so that she can also wear it loosely around her neck and is able to wear her cuffs around her hands, not just her wrists (just as in the video).  Those things are important with that sort of garment, because that's how most people wear them (wearing the cuffs around your hands looks cooler and keeps your hands warm).

Anyway, I've hinted twice now, so if don't see a sign from either yourself or Clarkie that you're working on one by way of a post on the forum, say, by next Sunday, I might have to start one myself.  Only reason I've not done it myself is that I have no clue how to rig, conform, and package it up as a distributable product (I have still to learn all that stuff).  So anyway, like I said, this is the last hint, do a hoodie and those pants Natalie is wearing in the video - they're perfect for Roxie!

No, I meant as a freebie, the idea being that her having a set of cooler-type trendy gear would get more poeple to bring her out of the Runtime and into the viewport and make use of her.

Considering she's a young figure (I'd put her around 18-22), I think it's amazing how few people are using her.  The major problem is the lack of morphs, that's obvious (and was a big mistake on SM's part), but I think it's also down to the figure type she is not having enough stuff to reflect what she is.  She's basically a pocket-sized girl with an attitude and nothing to reflect that.  The closest thing she has to what she is, is likely the Cheerleading outfit Clarkie is working on, then his Bodysuit, followed by your Open Top Dress.

She needs something casual with an air of cool about it, Roxie's not refined, she 'couldn't give a crap' is what she appears to project as default.  Anyway, you're not the only one who would like to see me do it, I would like to see me do it as well, but like I said, I have no clue about the technical stuff and it would be too much to expect me to learn all that stuff just to release a freebie.

You mentioned making more stuff for Roxie, that's why I mentioned it to you - consider this type of stuff - considering it's for Roxie.

I wrote a mini tutorial on Runtime about transferring morphs from one character to the other. If you have one character with a lot of morphs, you can make very similar ones fairly easily for the body. The face can be another story thou. Obviously doing them this way negates giving them away, but it can be done. If you know how to use the morph brush and save with pmd on, you can make morphs.

If you do them one at a time onto using a developer rig, you can save them out as PMD injections without having to delete any other morphs from the character first.

You don't need any other applications to make morphs for Roxie in Poser. If it is not symmetrical, you will have some issues in Poser.

It does help to have a cr2 editor to setup group injections on them so the morphs are organized, but the grouping is not necessary for them to work. A decent cr2 editor is worlds faster than using a text editor. I use one that is available here.

I will go thru the morphs I have and see what needs done to them to make a decent morph package. Some of them were made in Poser, many of them in Blender and/or Houdini. Some of them are for Subd of 2, and some are 3, so that will need sorted out because it does make a difference. Jcm's need written for many of them, they don't work right with the default weight mapping. I just morph brush them, but having them work right out of the box would be much more user friendly.

I would rather add jcm's than force people to use a script to replace the mapping and joint information. I have versions like that as well, but you would have to use Poser Place applicator to set it up if you wanted a non bloated cr2.

Thanks, but seriously, it's pretty much like starting from new for me regards that stuff.  I can sculpt in ZBrush and then import the morph into the dev mesh, then export as a morph, but that's about as technical as I'm prepared to get :-D

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you have, sounds like an interesting random set of stuff you've built-up over time.

Actually, I can't agree with that, I watched a pretty good film about a bunch of "Real Girls" earlier today - they were pretty damn awesome!

These "real girs" are trained assasins.  They are kidnapped at the age of 12 or 13 and sent off to a secret island where they spend their youth, growing up in secret, being trained as the perfect assassin.  They go through some pretty tough stuff as they mature into young adults, and once they're ready for the outside world, you had better be damn good.  They can do deadly stuff with just about anything they have handy to them, very clever.  And if you're ever fortunate enough to find one of these trained assassins in your bed, you're in for some epic sex, but you should never, under any circumstances, expose your back to them or you could regret it big-time!   They have a clever trick, they can do stuff with your spine, it's some clever but rather gruesome Martial Arts thing.

Poor Roxie, I had a feeling she'd post while I was asleep - I knew she was up to something :-D

But Vilters, don't be too hard on her, that must be the first time she ever tried to write a full message and it brought a lump to my throat to see it, actually!  The problem is she holds everything like a blade, and because it takes her so long to write, I think that's why she misses letters out of words.  I find doodles of her practicing on my computer all the time, in fact, the image I used to show the mixing on Clarkie's outfit, was one of Roxie's I found on the hard drive.

Anyway, it must have taken a lot of effort for her to write all that, so like I said, don't be too hard on her ;-)

She has a good heart though :-D

Wow, that looks pretty awesome, especially the way it hangs and folds.  I reckon Roxie would love that but I think she's hoping for one with an elasticated wrist and the hood being able to be folded up or down.  But either way, like I said, that looks pretty awesome, just wait until Roxie sees that!  And regards the pants, fantastic, they look great, I think she wants something like Natalie was wearing but with stuff to attach her blade to and stuff like that - so those pants you pointed out would be ideal I reckon.

Yup, I can just picture her now, lurking suspiciously around DAZ's Vickie Storage facility, planning another one of her mass Vickie eliminations :-D

The Roxie I have just isn't interested in makeup, perfume, or glamour.  She's more interested in fine blades, survival skills, and seeing to it that the Vickies of this world are kept out of her territory - oh, and she likes her beats :-)

BTW, that might be just your hoodie concept, but she's looking cooler already ;-)
