I have had it happen more than once after opening the app and never done anything to rectify it as usually it comes back. Hopefully your issue is the same.

Stopped how? No files? No categories? No pane? Is it everything based on the Content Management Service - the Smart Content pane, plus Categories and Products in the Content Library pane?

@radioham if you exclude open source then I guess all the others are higher priced. I have found if it is 1&0's it can have it's moments no matter how much you pay. I think Daz Studio is pretty rock solid as far as applications go. The odd occasion I get the above and my content library is like a dog's breakfast but can't blame the app for the second one :-)

Maybe not radioham I run very similar to you and a few of the higher end products and they all come unstuck if the minimum requirements exceed the specs of your PC. These days a lot of them are shifting to the buy/lease the license and then pay a fee to maintain etc and you can find yourself spending half your time trying to come up with the cash to keep it all going. Last year I had to build yet another computer just to continue using one of my favourite apps as they utilized a load of new tech that was not in existence a year before so it was a very VERY expensive upgrade. Thankfully I was in the position to do this but many were not and after much one sided at times quite snippy forum debate the company had the good sense to release a slightly slimmed down version knocking out a few revolutionary elements which in turn allowed people to continue. What worries me is I am about to go through it all again and it feels like I only just put the screws in the back of the PC case.

As for your hair that is usually is age, marriage, trying to read/type text messages on mobile phones or kids that are a major influence on grey hair not necessarily in that order. Even ditched the marriage and don't look at the phone in order to slow things down but too late the horse had already bolted.

I know what you mean as it hasn't been the same since the took the pianola roll reader functionality away. Some advancements in technology is good, if you have ever driven a 1911 T-Model Ford you realize just how lucky we are these days.

Now it's funny you should ask about The 1911 T- Model Ford As H Ford said in those days You can have it in any colour as long as it's black

I am only 66 years now my Father is 94 I for one have never seen A Model T apart from in an book but for it's time what an car

If you look at the early Rolls they look like and sound like junk But many thanks U must be old

LPR001 ( ) posted Fri, 06 May 2016 at 6:56 PM

My father was in the car industry for about 40 years and he used to make the odd purchase that had us scratching our heads but he always had a reason and never failed. A fully restored BLACK 1911 T-Model Ford was one of these unusual buys and it was used in the film Gallipoli. Not sure if Mel Gibson drove it but if he did it could explain a few things. There probably is not so many around these days for a test drive but if you cut a leg off a camel jump on its back and get it to canter up the highway at 40MPH I reckon it would be a close substitute for ride comfort and control. I have embraced all forms of progress and technology ever since.

PS I am not sure where the "only" fits into 66 years old. LOL

When I was a teenager I had a friend whose parents had an old 1909 Hupmobile, and the accelerator and brake were levers on the outside of the car.

The T- Model the accelerator is on the steering wheel as a lever and you could adjust the fuel mixture with a lever on the opposite side to suit the backfiring as you drove along. Reverse was a pedal that sat just where the clutch pedal normally goes for added danger. The steering had no stopper so if you went past the point of full lock then it flipped the crude coupling and turning the wheel right the car would spear left and vice-versa. It had brakes of sorts but the best way was to swing your foot out the cab and drag it along the ground as it was just as effective. This all assumes you didn't break your arm crank starting it because it had a kick on it like a mule. Daz Studio is much safer as far as hobbies go.

As for Windows 10 I run 64 bit 16/32 Gig systems and it can utilize a fair amount of ram but it also depends on the software you are using as it is a two way street even if the software is 64 bit. Same with the dedicated GPU's. I have run software as far back as XP/Vista and if need be just right click run the compatibility trouble shooter and it will in 99% of cases sort it out. I usually recommend desktop PC's as they are far more tweakable/updateable.
