Subject: PhilC: Poser Tool Box crashes Poser new update (11.1)

Online Now!

As soon as I launch the script, Poser crashes and closes.

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

I don't know if PhilC's updated it but usually he's very good about free updates. I'd contact him through the store, or through his website.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

Did it work on Windows10 before? Did you changfe location of Runtimes? I found win10 less sloppy in access rights than win7 and before were. That is a good thing, but old school organisation like writing into a runtime in the program files folder may not work. Poser itself has solved this but of course older plug-ins can still rely on yesterday's innocence. Try to run Poser as administrator. This is not a good permanent solution but it may help you out on occasions.

Running Poser as administrator does not solve the problem. It worked on Windows 10 before. But obviously, Windows has updated itself several times since then.

I don't have Windows 10, I use 7. Poser Tool Box crashes my PoserPro11.1 on my machine too, but is still working in PoserPro11 sr8.

More than likely the new poser update has a new python version, meaning that the toolbox will need to be recompiled to work.

(infact 99% certain this is the issue.. We've seen it happen before with poser upgrades and patches....)

Unlikely: Poser 11.1 uses Python version 2.7.1 (r271:34759, Dec 13 2017, 03:10:36) [MSC v.1800 64 bit (AMD64)] Poser 11 used 2.7.1 also, but of course earlier build. Changes should not lead to the effects reported.
