Agreed. I might buy these, if converted well for Victoria 4 and Poser.

Oh, and this one, too.

I would happily do the same with props — specifically interiors and architecture. I honestly dont understand why it's such a big deal to have something static unavailable in both formats.

Actually, I believe a lot of people would be happy to see more of the currently exclusive DS items made available to Poser users. No doubt vendors have their own reasons for not doing so ranging from sheer idleness to the disdain shown to Poser (on the basis of it being, in their eyes, a spent force), usually by former Poser vendors. As a supporter of both programs, I find it surprising that vendors are willing to make excuses and accept lost sales and reduced profit in what is already a comparatively small market. Perhaps Renderosity could be persuaded to do more in encouraging vendors to up their game and cater for both programs to a greater extent?

I think you haven't been paying actual attention to what has been said from the former poser vendors and it comes down to this:
They have rent and bills to pay, just like everyone else.
If making poser items no longer makes them money, you have to accept that they can't do it and keep a roof over their head, not create these posts saying that they are idle and has disdain for a program just because they choose not to be homeless and hungry. Margins in creating content are thin, and making something twice never means double sales; most times it means a loss in profit when they could have made two things that made money.
You know, I really had hoped that someone would take the time to read my post and think about it rather than jump in with a knee-jerk response which skims over the surface and ignores the parts you don’t want to hear (or think about) because they don’t comply with your own opinions! Contrary to your belief, I do in fact pay a lot of attention to the things vendors say and have said. There’s a simple reason for that. I’m a working artist and have been for all my life, both as a traditional artist and, for the past fifteen years, in 3D and I intend to keep it that way. Why? Because I have a vested interest in seeing vendors succeed in their endeavour’s for no other reason than that, if they don’t work I can’t. There can be no reasonable argument against that regardless of which side of the Daz/Poser fence you sit on! At the end of the day it’s all about making the money you need to live so what’s the point in restricting your earning ability by catering to only one part of the market. That’s not good business sense. I make a lot of money from my work mostly on the traditional side and I’m pretty satisfied with what I’ve got, however, since I started working in 3D my earnings have increased by around 18% per annum and that makes me very happy indeed. Exactly the same argument applies to the situation vendors find themselves in because of what is, after all, an artificial situation created by a small, but vociferous group of people with their own agenda’s intent on fomenting ill-feeling when the majority of 3D users are happy to remain in the background and get on with their lives. Incidentally, you don’t need to make everything twice to produce for DS & Poser. The object, which is the basis for all 3D programs, is only made once. The differences come with the rigging, etc (if it’s anything other than a static prop), format and to a lesser degree, materials. I know that whilst not being a vendor so why doesn’t someone who claims to know what makes them tick? Perhaps paying closer attention and some basic research may help you formulate a more accurate response in future?

I think you said it yourself: you don't sell. That makes anything you post uninformed on the subject of why things are made. I've been 3D content for over 8 years, and with that I speak with a lot of vendors that make content.. so that makes my post totally informed.
Again, you aren't listening. What you may consider artificial is very real to a vendor has to pay their rent. This is simple supply and demand, and that market revolves around people paying for something that's being demanded, and suppliers making things that they get a return on their investment. It makes sense that if there is less of something made, it's because no one is making enough money to cover their investment.
That said, you don't understand how this market works. As I've said, I've been selling content for 8 years now and hear stories of vendors listening to customers that don't know how the market works and makes something that a tiny number buys, or it gets wishlisted which is the same as people not buying it.. then that vendor has to figure out how to eat for that month... or run the risk of eviction. That's the reality.. nothing artificial about it. Vendors, with the thin margins of making content, has to be smart with their choices.
I'll suggest to you in the future to actually do the research before posting these type of posts to you can understand how simple supply/demand works because I actually do this, or better yet, you can become a vendor as well and you can learn all this first hand.
If @Male_M3dia has finished derailing the thread, I'd like to say that yes, I too would be happy to purchase certain items if Poser versions were made available. I have no interest in ever going back to D|S.

It's not derailing if it's the truth. It's been seven months, I believe you already had your answer. There's no money in DS vendors converting items to poser, including some features that don't exist in poser that wouldn't convert like instancing.
I would also stay away from personal attacks in your posts, the TOS here doesn't allow it.

Hardly a personal attack, no the personal attacks all happened up above before I ever posted (and yes I know it did go a bit both ways). I still feel all of that did derail the initial intention of this thread, some users wanting to say hey we are still interested in content too, and we have our eyes on some items you made for D|S.

Sorry, it was. In the future, you can say what you need to say without referencing my name with your opinion of what you think I'm doing just because you don't like what I posted.
Still you can be interested in something, but it doesn't mean 1) DS vendors are going to pay $200 for Poser software and spend months learning it just to make a $13 item with a 50% cut with the store for 5-10 people, if that. And that's generally what these requests get if they're not rooted actual sales data. Do the math; for that amount, did they recoup the $200 investment? Understand things come with a cost; so a vendor has to factor that in.
And if a Poser vendor switches to making only DS items, that should already tell you the money was no longer there to make the Poser item. Only a shift in how Smith Micro deals with vendors is going to bring more poser (or working to get that item into Poser via their software); not vendors stopping what they're doing to convert items when they could make another DS item. It is what is is, with the way the market has shifted in the last few years.

Daz Studio is getting a wealth of new content. A lot of new Rpublishing clothing items for D/S. I was thinking how about seeing if poser users would be interested in buying converted Rpublishing D/S items? Maybe using a vote contest to show interest in which products to convert? Sort of like the Gravy Bowl to gauge interest in specific items before efforts are put into converting them to Poser. I sometimes buy items and convert them myself to use in poser but would totally purchase items already converted for poser. I think if this could be done it would be a good thing for Poser users (who totally dig the new content) as well as Renderosity for converting the content (and making them money).
The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.
