Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
Ghost, I've just been experimenting with it--if you make it transparent in Bryce, you lose that hairline/shadow over on the right--it looks--empty/fake/odd. However, I'm wondering if David made his base invisible in Poser and then exported it. I made the base transparent, BTW, and it didn't delete the crack, so now I'm totally bumfuzzled. About where the crack is may be the second 'bang' that I didn't have selected in the beginning (see a Bryce thread about this--with the strange appendage below the bang). I may try turning off all the 'shadow' options for that part and see if it makes a difference. Diane B
I will look at it when I get home but I know the previous incarnation was a little hard to figure in Bryce ... Kept on selecting and unselecting the wrong things because I didnt realize everything was doubled at first. Perhaps the base moved the wrong way. I know that occasionally a model part will shift in the translation so you get a crack ... That and weird bits that you never knew were there will show up like hidden necks on shirts and stuff .. But I will look when I get home .. Good luck
Earlier today before I got caught up in my 'real' world, I tried bringing Nene in just 'as is' and still get the crack. I suspected a morph caused it since I heavily morphed my redhead. I tried turning all the shadow options off for the 2 bang parts and that didn't help. So--I don't have a clue LOL. You may be right--something may have shifted just a bit, but it would be hard to get right again without screwing up everything. Easier to do a bit of post work. I often find when I bring something in from Poser to Bryce that I get odd shadowing or 'breaks'--I guess from the ray tracing and the way it renders. I usually just smudge it out or somesuch--clone or something. Hope others look and give their ideas. Diane B
