Set the transparency minimum to 100% as well. That should fix it.

Change the object color to white and the hightlight color to black and pull down the highlight size and that will get rid of part of the problem.

BEANZ, I'd offer to help but I do not enjoy reading your maaner of writing. If I have to decode what you've typed, then sorry. I'm not personaly attacking you, I just don't care for what you've done to the English language. And don't get me started on people that say "axed" instead of "asked"... shudder

Turning on anti-aliasing will also help

Check the other hair layers to make sure you have identical Trans Min, Trans Max, and Falloff settings. I like that font.

I have to agree with Rex.

It could just be a weird hair prop. =)

Okay... Mid_U and the rest are the names given to the seperately texturable groups of plygons on this particular object. Try giving each one a unique "Object Color" and look for yourself. Set texture map to 'none" for a better look. In order to get the best results from your hair: Hilight, Ambient, Reflective colours all to black. Make sure it is absolute black (RGB value of 0,0,0) Click thecolour swatch and make sure. Highlight size set as low as it will go. (1% I think) Transparnecy Min set to 0% Tranparency Max set to 100% Are there seperate textures for mid, in, and out? If so select each material group and assign them their respective textures.

Not having a texture for the in layer makes some sense as being on the inside you wouldnt see it. I would guess the inner layer is only for the fringeing at the bottom and only needs a colour set on it. Dont use highlights on anything where the edges are supposed to be completely transparent, set it to black RGB = 0,0,0

This looks like it is Kozaburo's sample hair that you can download from his site together with a tut on how he does his transmapped hair. I did't get it to work too but on the thumbnails on his site it looked great and I think you can make two different hairstyles with this probs.
