I'm using 3DSMax yeah Phil, I've noticed that once I've done something once I can usually repeat it without much hassle, but getting it done in the first place is the trick Scarab, damn that playdough 'eh? All I could make with it was spagetti and it tasted DISGUSTING. I passed kindergarten easily. It was....almost....like they were trying to get rid of me..........hmm, wait a minute! DARN THOSE TRICKY KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS! SewerRat
heya; it looks pretty good, sewersie! the ear spines dont need to blend into the head a whole lot... but you could try... well, you need to expand the inner ends of the spines, then link or weld them to the vertices that make up the head at that point. are you going to make it posable? model the jaw open about 15-45 degrees. and if you have trouble with the teeth getting in the way, let me know, because i have a trick for that. :)
max3.1 I'm building with meshes what I'm doing is getting a sphere/cone etc. and applying modifiers to them, the horns and teeth are just spheres with modifiers, so I can change their parameters later the head itself, because I need to do more modelling on, I then converted to an editable mesh. I haven't used patches or nurbs, but I've got a book permanantly on the desk behind me, and I've found I'm able to look up how to do things rather easily, just as long as I know what I want to do SewerRat
