Just picked up the changing ponytail set.......Just let me say first...LOVE IT!!!...Now I have applied the mat post with trans map for the hair ..Is the hair supposed to look ..kind of chunky I havent seen any different maps for it but I kind of wanted it to look more wispy or more realistic I guess is what I mean...any Ideas?..Thanks Glennjan

Which version of Poser are you using? I'm only familiar with P4. Check to see if your transparency falloff is set at 0%. Sometimes that will affect the way transparency works. Melanie

The way the hair was modeled doesn't seem to allow much in the way of transmapping, so that's why it looks more like high res video game animation hair than real. What you can do is add wisps of loose hair in postwork. That adds a lot more realism.

MysticWinter has done a set of textures for this hair that utterly transforms it-- not sure if they are here or at 3-d Arena. Makes all the difference. So does a bit of blur. Emily

The textures for Vickys changing pony tail are over at 3-d arena and they look really good.

heyas; you might try turning down/off the bump map, if it is using one. it appears as if it may be using a bump map to make the strands stand out more.

Definitely pick up Mysticwinter's textures for the changing ponytail!! They are beautifully done and give the hair a more wispy appearance.

Where exactly is the freestuff over there? i don't see any link for it. Thanks

If you have Photoshop 7, you can try using the Liquify filter to smooth out those harsh angles. Select the specific area you want to work on, set the "brush" size very low, perhaps as low as 1 pixel, set the mode to "loose" or something like that. Using very subtle nudges, push the angles into more flowing shapes. I use lo-res Michael and Vicky a lot, so this technique comes in handy for rounding off those unwanted hard-angle verticies.

Exotica, you find the textures by MysticWinter in the shop over there - not in the freestuff.

Could someone put a link to that site, please. I'd be interested in checking into those textures. Melanie
