Thank you so much to all the mods and admins for selecting one of my images to feature amongst such a fantastic collage of other artist's work.  I am truly honoured and would like to congratulate all other photographers who have been featured too.

It's been fun slowly getting back into uploading some of my photographs again and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you and hopefully being able to spend a bit more time around here commenting and joining in the forums again soon.

Many thanks for selecting my pic this week - I am truly honoured and was not in the slightest expecting it.  I mereley uploaded it as a sentiment rather than because of quality so this is a really nice surprise and has put a small smile on my face this morning.

I've never deleted a photo, one of my very early photos I edited and reloaded, but I noted that in my edited narrative.

On the other hand, there have been a few occasions over the last year or so that I was so close to deleting my gallery in it's entirety - but something inside wouldn't let me??  Don't know what it was or is, but there's just something about RR land that keeps us coming back, no matter what goes on here on in our personal life!

I like to look back at my earlier uploads - see the photos that, at the time I was soooooooo proud of and now, some of them really make me cringe at how bad they are and no doubt, in another year or so, I'll be feeling the same about the ones I upload now - but that's the trouble with photography, the more you learn, the more it can sometimes take the innocent fun out of it..... learning all the "rules" etc.  Can ANY of you now look at a photo, anywhere, a magazine, wedding album, newspaper etc., etc., and NOT critique it??   I know I can't - and that is sometimes really frustrating - wouldn't it be nice to just go back to the days of being able to see something that really grabbed your interest, press the shutter and then go WOW, I like that - irrelevant of whether it's being composed correctly etc?

Anyway, for all of those reasons, my gallery is intact and will remain that way FOREVER!!!

OMG! This is such a nice way to start the day, having lost my feel for photography a few months ago and desperately trying to find it again, I finally take a photograph that I am happy with and it appears here in LWITG!! Thank you so much for chosing this pic of mine, it really has boosted my confidence again!

And huge congratulations to all the other artists selected this week. Another great selection by the staff and from what I've seen in the galleries over the last week, not an easy choice for them - the standards are tremendously high with so many fantastic photographs to chose from!

Well I for one am more than pleased with this selection - this is a great gallery that I have loved visiting since I joined R'osity and Piet has been quite an inspiration to me personally as I'm sure he has to many others.

An excellent choice for Gallery of the Month by the staff here and huge congratulations to Piet - well done my friend, a truly deserved honour!

Tom - I'll certainly do that for you, no problems there.  Maybe you can meet a few of us on one day if we know in advance, perhaps we can arrange another UK meet up (I'm sure we must be about due one anyway?)

Rich - I was going to say you're not big enough for that, but then I remembered.... you tower above me, and I'm no shortie!! LOL!  We'll see how the break goes - I'm usually best left to wander off on my own with the camera though, I've never been as good working with others as I am on my own - maybe too many inhibitions about whether I'm doing things right or not and whether others can see if I don't???  Whatever it is, I just can't seem to get past the "block" I have, but I'm hoping that with a little more time, now that we've moved and Carl will hopefully be settled in a new job soon, then all other pressures and stresses will become a distant memory and I can start concentrating on enjoying photography again?

I will certainly show some photos from our Yorkshire trip though, hopefully some nice ones with Diane if she'll let me?

Right, back to work now before the boss catches me not working!!!
