I imagine there is some issue with worrying about copy right and licensing on some of those fixes. It would seem Poser would have to have a sort of open source license figure rig with those features including an optional use of a set of generic fitting magnets that could be easily adapted to different characters. That kind of goes back to licensing worries and problems for different figures. The fitting room fixes some poke through issues, but depending on the poses that can change.

On a side note, the new Blender eevee engine looks really nice and could replace ray trace preview renders as well as be used for very quick animation test renders of high quality. It's amazingly fast. It's still in development but progress on it is going quickly.

I too would be interested in this as I have some content I'd like to back up in an easier method. Maybe Renderosity itself would consider looking at the downloader and either making it an official one, or create their own and release it to the customers? I'd even be willing to pay a small one time fee ($10 if it worked reliably) for the convenience.

Figure wise, if you have Dawn SE, the Elisa character at Hivewire is really, really lovely. There are several lovely Dawn SE characters here too.

All good suggestions. Do you know if the problem occurred before or after upgrading to your current version of Nvidia drivers? I tend to think one thing that helps is to unplug the pc, open it up, and use a can of compressed air to blow out any dust, being careful on the fans (also be extremely wary of static electricity). Another thing to check is if your AV software (or even firewall software) affected your Nvidia update. I've seen certain firewall manufacturer software quarantine or run the updated software in a sandbox (if your software has this ability). If that's the case you'll see notes in the quarantine files. You'll want to look at the path of the files affected (example would be any on the drive letter, program files, Nvidia name of file). You might also want to check your Windows Event Viewer logs too. Look under Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Application, and under Event Viewer, Windows Logs, System. You should see Errors for when the monitor went out listed there. You could test things by reinstalling the older Nvidia driver version and see if you still get the error..

I don't know. It's sad when the forums get so negative over some new character. I think if there are more supportive comments that figures can be fixed and made even better. The weight mapped releases of characters are great work! And the skin texture python scripts and node work are fantastic! I wish when characters are released they get constructive criticism rather than straight out anger or disappointment. I feel like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree speech here runs off to hide
