Quote - users like me back is that many of us use DS, and the Renderosity products that have been certified as DS-tested are disappointingly few. Fortunately, I've seen more product being created for DS 4.6 than for earlier versions, so maybe that situation is improving. I know that DS accomodates Poser versions to some extent, but to be told that a product hasn't been tested with DS does give pause to a potential purchaser who has to be careful of every dollar spent.
Even though many of the products that are sold say for Poser most of them will work in Daz Studio. In some case you may need to tweek the material settings in Daz Studio's surface tab but other than a lot of items here work in Daz. Now things like Poser shaders and such don't work in Daz. But things like clothing, props, hair and so on do.

You can go into the surface tab in Daz and set the opacity to 0. You can do the same in Poser in the material room.
Thread: rendering Dreamlands model crashed my monitor | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Thanks. I think I had too many lights. I downsized the picture to 1500 by 1500 from 1700 by 1700, deleted all of Dreamland's lights - there were a lot - and just put in three lights - and it rendered fine. How weird is that?
Whew, glad you got it sorted out.

It could be a coincidence or could be something your not even thinking about. Microsoft released 4 different updates in August that they are now pulling and telling users to unistall if you downloaded the updates. They updates caused screens/pcs to freeze, not reboot, get hung on certain things and so on.
But if it's not that... I have to ask how many polygons is in the the whole scene? What type of lighting & shadowing are you using. Different light sets makes renders take longer and use more power. Have you considered rendering in layers? Render the house first. Then render Viki next and compiling the two in Photoshop or some other program. Is your Viki current? They have released updates to her earlier this year. Not sure what the updates changed but maybe updating her would help.
Thread: Problems with Victoria 4.2 Morphs++ & Eyes/Expressions (Mac/PoserPro) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree with Hborre, if you are using old installers than redownload the installers and install from them. I did have an update or two if I remember right on V4 and M4 this year.

For the most part I think she looks great. The only thing I see that might need tweeking is the septum/skin between the nostrils. With her prominent cheekbones and jaw I think she could easily be Indian with the right textures.
Thread: I Can't Inject Morphs into V4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you unistalled V4 did you look into every nook and cranny in your runtimes? A lot of times bits are left behind like old data. You have to make sure that everything is gone.
Are you using old installers for V4, zips from Dim, or zips downloaded from Daz?
When you re-installed the morphs++ if there were hidden bits left behind the data could be corrupted. Did you re-intialize V4 after you reinstalled morphs++?
Thread: Character creation, I need some advice before starting | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Generally the character would need to be in the default position when you export if not the position you exported your character out in will be part of the new morph.
If the new morphs are extreme like you mentioned and re-rigging or possibly new UV mapping needs to be done then you can't release the character. If you were to release a re-rigged version or a new UV mapped version , it actually becomes a new model and the buyers of the character would have to have that model. Then that also means you can't sell the re-rigged or new uv-mapped version without contacting Daz first because they own those models. The only thing we are allowed to share or sell are textures created for V4 or M4, poses, and morphs we create.
However, if this is for your own personal use and you don't plan to redistribute anything than you can re-rig or change the UV-map to better handle the extreme morphs.
Thread: Why do conforming cloths rule ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am going to be honest I have never used dynamic clothing. I have only had Poser for a few months and for the past several years I used Diaz so I am more familiar with those dials. But I want to try dynamics once I figure out how.

I had this happen a couple times on another figure but I couldn't find out why.

In Daz Studio 4.6 you can rig mesh and even in Daz 3 advance (but that isn't available anymore) just the current version of Daz 4.6.
When you see 'fit to' it means it's a conforming item that was built to have posing morphs, fits morphs, and so on. In another words more than xyz scale.
Now items made for Victoria 4 that are conforming (not Dynamic) can be fitted rather easily to the Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 figures. However you would need the Victoria 4 shape for either Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 female, depending on which Genesises you are using.
In this case you are using Teen Josie which is from the Genesis 2 female line. Buy the Victoria 4 shape for Genesis 2 female. Once you buy that and have it installed in the same runtime/directory as your Genesis 2 females, you load your figure (Teen Josie), make sure she is selected in your preview window and or scene tab. Then load the clothing item that was intended for V4 and as long as Teen Josie was selected a pop up will appear asking who was the clothing item intended for. You choose Victoria 4 and then pick what type of clothing item it best fits. Once you do that Daz 4.6 will do it's magic and make the item fit to Genesis 2 and it will follow your figure's poses.
Once you have that down pat you can save the clothing item with a few steps to automatically load to fit Genesis 2 females as long as you save it properly which you need to be careful with how you save it, where you save it and etc. There are a number of tutorials that will show you how to save clothes for Genesis or Genesis 2 whether you made them or someone made them for an older figure like Victoria 4. However, if you didn't make item yourself you won't be able to share, sell or giveaway that clothing model.
Here is a link for Daz tutorials from Daz's website. Many of them are free and useful in so many ways.

Here is a link to Daz's interactive tutorials which are also very useful. Many of these come with free models and items.

Since you are new to the scene I am betting if you contact the seller they would be more than willing to give you a refund so that you can at least find conforming clothing items to use.
Now, since this is thread was mainly asking help for Daz I am going to move the thread to the Daz forums because there many there that can give you more help and guidance.

I would love to be able to help you but I don't have C4D. Have you tried contacting the creator of the kit you bought for assistance?
Thread: Having problems with textures not loading | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is this happening on all things you try to add a texture to or something in particular? I have Poser 10 and haven't had that problem.
It maybe that it is adding the texture but you can't see it until you render the image.
