Thread: Spiral curls hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just wanted to give a public nod of thanks to the gang over at 3DArena. I purchased April's spiral hair last week and finally tried to install it this weekend. I found that the file was bad and sent a quick email off, not really expecting a reply before Monday, (if then concidering the holiday!). To my surprise I recieved an email today, with a new link. I've successfully d/l'ed the file and installed it. While I haven't really had the chance to use it yet it looks like a really great hair model, and the price is unbelievable! Thank you one and all at 3DArena and Silvermage Concepts! mike
Thread: Clothes................ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Kuruption, I'm not sure why this sometimes happens, it may be what part of the figure you have selected. How i work around this most times is to wait until AFTER I have the figure posed, THEN I bring in and conform the clothes. After that's done I tweak the clothes to get them to fit. mike

Thread: To PWFW subscribers.. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Rena, Obviously many of us do not know what is happening in you real life that would cause you to concider leaving PWFW. This is, in truth, only right as it is none of our business. At the same time to loose the products of your fabulous talent is a sad thing! However, you MUST do what you have to do FOR YOURSELF first! Please do not let the fact that you would be greaty missed influence you to, WRONGLY, continue a situation you would rather change! We, you fans, will understand whichever course you feel you must follow. If it takes you away for a time and you returen, once more happy, then great! If it takes you away and you do not reutrn, but are happy than that is also great! Do what you must but BE HAPPY in it, whatever it is. mike
Thread: Would it be wrong to make this free? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally, I'd rather see a tutorial on the dang thing is made rather than have Visualkenitics release his as free stuff. Those that cared could spend the time to make thier own. Those that didn't could just purchase one, on not. I don't think this would really impact the sales very much and thus relieve some of the moral concerns, plus present a good learning tool. mike
Thread: Please take a look... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Handlebars are a bit thin and may wind up being changed, and it will have spokes (assuming I can get them right!) but it's not a Harley. It's a reasonably accurate (to the best of my small ability) of a Yamaha Road Star. I did cheat and make the frame a hard tail rather than the hidden shock soft tail that the real one is. After two months of study and test riding to find the replacement for my current Honda Shadow this is the one I decided on. It is the closest on the market to a Harley and almost 1/2 the cost! Can't wait to start the textures. I'm going to use a teal texture that you can get on the V-Star currently, but no the Road Star. It almost made me buy the smaller bike, and still might make me repaint it after the warenty runs down.At any rate thanks for the kind words. mike

Check and see if you bump map matches your new texture map, That appears to be too fine to be part of the model's mesh, so I bet your still using the original, large bump map. Mike
Thread: The Wireframe for Michael | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If your looking to do textures than you are probably looking for the Michael templates. DAZ gives away a head and body template on the Michael sale page. However, As jamball77 mentions, I think snowsultan has made a set of templates including seam markings, making it easier to line up front to back. Good luck. Mike
Thread: Reclining nude | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You know, this image has almost sold me on Dina! It is excellent and the lighting and texturing are elegant. RANT I am really irritated by jokers that have to comment on the fact that it's a nude image! The thread is clearly marked "nudity", on a site that has a large number of nude images available! If a parent can't, won't, or doesn't know and control what their child views then don't expect everyone else to be your baby sitter! I say this as a parent myself. This image is more tasteful and only as revealing as "Baywatch", and I bet you don't even know if, or bother to worry about, your kids watching that! Sorry for the rant, but this site seems to be littered with people that like to rain on someone else's parade, for no other reason than the pleasure of it. Mike
Thread: For Steve Cooper: About Poser Upgrade. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ike, If you use a credit card you can contact Upgrades Unlimited in the UK and purchase the special upgrade from them. I'm not sure if the special price is still available or not but way back when it first came out I did it that way. Surprisingly the "upgrade" was the complete version 4 box, not just an upgrade disk. mike
Thread: PhilC's 3D modeling for Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I want to say how much I liked this tutorial CD, however my fisrt post gave credit to the wrong person. A problem of thinking about a thread I read moments before writing to this one. Phil, if you saw that before I deleted it, please accept my humble appology! As to the CD. It is truely excellent! The parts I have had the time to work through are very informative and the interface style is well ahead of any other "book" type CD I've seen. It is definately worth the asking price, and more INHO. Mike
