Thread: Found a Bryce Animation Bug -- I need a workaround! | Forum: Bryce
Aye, you can't animate hidden, but you can animate transparency! Perhaps using this will help in your keyframing...? Good luck!

Aye, Wheel of Time, Erlik. And I accept your idea, Masema, lets do it! Shadar Logoth, with Mashadar tendrils and whatnot... Feel free to join us, Erlik, I'll make a thread for it once I finish mine, or whoever finishes first!

Thread: Sneak preview of Poser 5 | Forum: Bryce
It's all about marketing, something that apparently Corel doesn't really care for. I think, from the looks of things, Poser 5 is truly an exponential upgrade, not just a new shell. Alas, if only the Poser guys would give the Bryce guys a hand...
Thread: HELP ME I CANT FIGURE THIS OUT!!!! | Forum: Bryce
I think Eric summed it up, although a bit blunt. If you don't have a manual, perhaps you should go BUY Bryce? Not only will you learn the basics of the program, but you'll be giving the creators their due reward for making such a great tool. (grins)

Aye, I believe I know of which scene you speak, Masema, and it's a tragedy... Good luck. But hey, I've got an idea, just between us if nobody else cares, let's pick a scene from WOT and BOTH of us make it, not for competition, just for fun? Pick one and let me know...!

Aye, good job Tjohn, very technical but it is accurate. For a workaround, JohnPenn, perhaps makea second sphere and leave it hidden until the negativity begins, then hide the first one and run the rest of the operation on the secod, negative-er sphere? Just an idea, I'm not even sure Bryce can keyframe hidden-ness...

Aye, awesome images from all of you! ICM - 3 Pidjy - 2 Ironbrew - 1 I should have made something too! (smacks head against monitor)
Thread: amorphium modeler cheap | Forum: Bryce
I got and lost my Amorphium from Half-Price books, for about 10 bucks... but last time my machine crashed, I lost the .dll files, and alas, I'm back to modeling in RDS...! (sobs)
Thread: How can i improve render speed in my PC?! | Forum: Bryce
Quick answer... I use a Pentium 3/672MHz, 256MB PC100 Ram, with a 16MB TNT-1 based graphics card, and alongside I added a Duron 1GHz with 384MB PC133 Ram, and a GeForce 4 MX420 64MB DDR card. We ran a benchmark render, it used basic shapes but covered volumetrics, glass, and reflections. In the end, for the same scene, my P3 rendered it in 1 hour and 49 min, and my Duron did it in 51 minutes! You do the math, it's an easy equation... Thanks a bunch, NVidia! (grins)
Thread: How do you make a river? | Forum: Bryce
Aye, if you want it flowing down a mountain, try using a terrain as the water, although Chris's idea is awesome too! Make sure to set the water terrain to "Solid" in the Terrain Editor... With this method you can change the terrain over time (keyframe it) and create the illusion of flow...
Thread: Poser to Bryce help Loosing my mind | Forum: Bryce
Also, in the Bryce image, a lot of what I am seeing are Ambience discrepancies between the armor pieces... Perhaps syncing up your numbers on all of the armor pieces will help fix it? For the most part, the Ambience should be identical per scene on all of the solid elements in a scene. This keeps shadows looking accurate, more than anything else...
